Terrible customer service, guy on the desk seemed very uninterested no greeting when I came in. Didn?t seem to care, didn?t even acknowledge me when I came in I had to approach him. Furthermore it took over an hour to do a puncture repair on a loose wheel. Will not be going back.Services: Tires

I have used the Halfords Autocentre in Dunstable for about 3 years now and in that time I have visited two other garages. On both occasions I came away thinking 'I should just have gone to Halfords'.Theyve done my MOTs (for both a Diesel and and Electric vehicle), and my services. They found and warned me of an issue and quickly sorted it out. I have confidence in them and will be going there again next time I need help with a vehicle.

Didn't have a great experience here.Initial impression was poor as the person on the desk (the centre manager) really didn't seem like he wanted to be there. I felt he was being quite rude to the customer in front of me. I appreciate you need to try and upsell the Motor Club membership but there's no need for the big sigh and to be so snarky if they say no. You literally have a sign on your counter about not abusing staff, maybe consider your attitude towards customers too...Despite nearly cancelling my appointment following this exchange (wish I had) I left my car for an interim service and MOT, which to their credit they completed as requested.On collection however I found my cream floor mats have big black greasy marks all over and the engine bay had been wiped down with engine oil making the car smell when it got hot (see photos). Also the automatic gearbox developed a fault when I took it out the same evening. The car has been in the family since new and has never had an issue with the gearbox until then.Again, to their credit, I spoke to a different manager and they agreed to check the car free of charge. Using the diagnostic computer we worked out from the codes that the gearbox issues was coincidental. I know my way around cars so I'm happy they were not trying to pull a fast one. They reset the ECU and while not fixed, it was an improvement on the way home.Unfortunately the whole experience has soured my opinion and I won't be going back. Had they not checked the car free of charge following the gearbox issue this would have been a one star review. Really disappointed as I have had a good experience in the past with Halfords Autocentre Luton.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. Broke my car, charged me for it and then when I called to question why my car was in the state it was in.. the branch manager Sajid then started abusing me down the phone and blaming me?! Have escalated it with head office. Absolutely appauling from people who call themselves vehicle experts.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Easy location to find. Park behind the members club, if you have an appointment with the garage.The staff were quick with the MOT and rang once it had been done, so i was able to go for a walk around town until then.

Just needed glass for my wing mirrors as they got nicked - quoted me £315 because they?re ?electric? knew that was a ridiculous quote, made a couple phone calls and got the same ?electric heated? glass mirrors for £100 at europarts and even then europarts said it?s a bit expensive. Eventually managed to get them fitted at Dunstable Parts Centre for 80 quid as they do fitting as well.Annoying part is, Halfords autocentre made me drive the car in as they needed to check the vehicle, and obviously being stuck without mirrros risked the drive and took it in.Other local mechanics just said email over pictures/ provide vehicle reg, ?as it?s not safe to drive the car without mirrors/ you don?t want to be pulled!!?Embarrassing on a business to think in 2023, they can take advantage when they see a female walk through the door. You?re supposed to providing customer service, I?d suggest to have some integrity and be helpful when you see someone in need, instead of acting all smart and seeing pound signs.Makes you laugh - what an absolute joke ?Thanks sweet cheeks Saj for the call back anyway ?

I went to halfords and spoke to the manager Saj, really helpful and fitted me in straight away for a review of an mot done by another garage. When I attended he made time to support me and pointed out the frailties in the other garages assessment. He identified the problem fixed it in seconds ! Highly recommended honest and great team ?

I went in for a free suspension check on Saturday.. There was a knocking under the car so I knew something was wrong. I arrive to collect my car to be told I need XYZ done (basically whole new suspension on the front) and they quoted just shy of £1,000 for a 2009 Ford KA. Just one of the things on the list is they said I needed 2 front coil springs replacing at £206 EACH. A coil spring from Europarts is around £30 so how on earth can you justify £352 for labour to replace 2 coils!?Called a local independent family run garage and they quoted me LESS THAN HALF what Halfords quoted and I may potentially not even need everything Halfords ?Advised?.Avoid at all costs, stick with local honest mechanics, there is plenty out there. (Wish I did first but the suspension check was urgent).I may be a female in her mid 20s with little to no knowledge of cars but I certainly am not that stupid.

Halfords auto centre in Dunstable has no staff and the management if you can call them that is poor at best. Incredibly unorganised, better garages up the road and for better prices, pick the better option?s not here.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I had my car serviced on the 30/12/2022. The next day my car came up with engine oil pressure fault to which I returned to the auto centre as I was concerned too much or the wrong oil was put in my car. I was told by the guy who serviced my car that because the weather and car is cold I will get that warning on the car for a few days. A month later and my car is having major problems and not driving or accelerating properly. I have had to spend £248 on correcting what your mechanics did to my car when they serviced it, as it was in fact the incorrect oil and there was way too much oil put in. I?m very upset about this service as I thought Halfords was a company that I could trust with my car. I would NOT recommend.Service: Auto maintenance

Excellent service only issue they record incorrect mileage on receipt and vehicle health report and was unwilling to reprint both with correct mileage changed it manually

Probably the worst M.O.T. garage in the country, especially that waste man I.Khan. Will fail you for something minor such as wipers, And the receptionist is constantly on the phone, the booking system is a shamble. Absolutely a waste of space.

I left my keys with Halfords,at 8:30am with a booking and returned at 5:15 pm and they still hadn?t done the job.
