I have just signed up for the surgery as I had changed address. I went this morning to book a blood test that I had already at my old surgery but they had to cancel as I moved to this surgery. The receptionist said I needed to speak to a doctor first, so I was able to get an appointment with a doctor that same day, get assessed and checked over and have my blood test booked within a few weeks. I think it?s excellent service and all the staff are very polite and friendly.

(Posted on behalf of my mum) Fantastic experience- Used the e-consult option Monday morning- was offered a GP face to face appointment in the afternoon.Felt listened to and cared for in the GP consultation.Thank you to the reception team who are consistently kind, reassuring, polite and caring.

Over the last six months I have seen at least a doctor a month and have been diagnosed with a number of medical conditions. I have been referred to Milton Keynes hospital three times and now under the care in three different departments.The treatment I have received from the doctors here, have been excellent. The doctor I saw this afternoon went above and beyond to deal with the problems I presented her with today and despite the fact I am being referred to Milton Keynes hospital again, I left the room with a smile on my face because of how nice she treated me, explaining everything so that i understood and the reassurance she gave me.I thought I must write a review as everyone writes about there negative experiences and I have had a number of positive ones, not just for me but my daughter too.I also wanted to say that on one of my earlier visits a different doctor ended up calling an ambulance and she put me on oxygen while we waited. Despite me worrying she kept me calm by talking to me and I didn't need to respond. She then transferred me into the care of two nurses who were also fantastic at keeping my mind occupied and keeping me calm and relaxed whilst we waited for the ambulance team.I would have given five stars but I too have experienced some form of disappointment but nothing serious. ?

Had an unpleasant experience from a nurse who was working today. Bassett road surgery work with this GP practice, so they sent me here. Assumed i would be seeing a doctor but appears to be an ongoing thing where they book you with nurses without asking you if this is OK. Saw the lady today about a back problem I am having. After a quick and patronising assessment, I then asked if she could please give me a prescription, so can get my repeated medication for such and such, to which she took her glasses off and rudely went "darling you don't even need this medication". She also repeated in a rude way emphasising darling to perhaps act like shes not being rude, when its clear she was; saying; "DARLING I am only here for the problem you said, not anything else" Very unprofessional nurse who could have been anyone really giving me rubbish advice. The star is for the car park.... I guess. ? your nurse clearly needs to retire or get fired. Happy weekend!

If I could give 0 I would as this is what I got from my appointment today - 0 help. Thanks for the link they send me about tendonitis. But even that one is 0 use for me as it contains general info about tendonitis and nothing about my particular case, not even a single mention about what should I do at least for my achiles pain. Ridiculous!

GP withholding important repeat prescription as he wants to review, but doesn?t inform the patient - so no review and no prescription. You simply couldn?t make it up - so very poor

I called at 8.07 this morning to book a phone consultation and instead of hanging on for 30 minutes plus, decided to use their ring back facility. They called back at 8.49 and told me that all of the appointments were booked up for the day so I would need to call back tomorrow. Hopeless!

1 star is GENEROUS for this epic failure of a service but I wouldn?t go as far as describing LRS as a service at all.I explained to the receptionist that I had been advised back in April 2022 I was on a 10 week waiting list for something and she went on to update me that that particular service wasn?t available through the surgery anymore, followed up with laughter. To say that I am less than impressed is an understatement - this surgery deserves to be shut down their reputation as unhelpful, rude and utterly useless prevails them regardless of who has managed it over the years.

The reception team are fab, I called quite late to speak to a GP and I received a call back within an hour. The lady I spoke to was super helpful and friendly! GP practices get such a hard time and are never given any credit or thanks for the hard job that they do. Thank you ?

Called 5.50pm on 28.1.22 about missing medication from a repeat prescription spoke to a receptionist, lady called Debbie absolutely lovely friendly helpful great patient care couldn?t ask for better. Thank you DebbiePs let?s hope the doctor you passed my query to is competent as yourself.

PLEASE READ THE PREVIOUS REVIEWSI called this morning to ask for an appointment to have my thyroid checked and they told me that I would have to ring back on Monday at 8 o?clock in the morning to see if they?ve got an appointment I am baffled at what way this place is being run i?ve been registered at this GP since 2003 and they have always been exactly the same you ring 30 times and wait 30 minutes at least to get through to them this has nothing to do with Covid they need to get up off their backsides and start doing their job properly instead of training staff to answer calls and put people off I honestly for the old and vulnerable in this town they must be getting turned away all the time?.. funny how 3 good reviews come in after all the bad reviews please read the previous reviews

A great GP hub, friendly staff and I've never had to wait long. The medical staff have always been understanding and I've been dealt with in a professional manner. They take time to listen and understand. Of course they are busy, it's an expanding town and the population is getting bigger, but I've never had cause to complain. Well done LRS, you got this!

I've had two excellent doctors treating me, Drs Patel and Dr Gareth Broburg. It was a throw back to old school care, know the patient as a person, make decisions together, continuity from week-to-week. Unfortunately, both of them were locums. Both disappeared at very short notice. Dr Broburg under what seems to me to be suspicious circumstances. I spoke to him on the Tuesday at a critical juncture in deciding the correct medication for treating a DVT. He requested me to send a copy of a letter sent to the surgery, copy to me, that had not yet been received nor passed on to him. I sent it to him. Unusually he didn't respond. I learned the following Monday (today) that he left on Friday, 3 days after I had spoken to him. I knew he would leave sometime, but he always told me it would be at the end of the year. So I'm back to a non-continuity doctor reading my notes then being confronted by me, a questioning 82-year old, who is wondering if now is not the time to change surgeries. To cap it all, I went for a Doppler test this Monday morning and the new machine malfunctioned. Apparently, a common thing to happen.
