Room and bathroom great size, but that is where the good news ends. Spartan I can accept but shabby I can not. When I checked at the desk I was given vague instructions on where to park and told if I was in the wrong place I would get a ticket.Wifes description was don't know whether to refurbish or bull doze.I get they are amongst the cheapest around, but road noise was excessive as was the noise in what was a sparsely occupied hotel. We have used the chain before and will again, but not this site.

The hotel itself was alright, it had a bar and a restaurant for basic food. The room was clean the bed comfortable enough. Beware if you are road side the it's noisy. The road is alive for many hours of constant noise. Unfortunately the road wasn't the worst thing. I was up in Luton for work my van parked in the carpark at the rear. I thought I'd done enough to park as securely as I could but no my van was broken into over night and tools stolen. Tradesmen Beware staying here. I'm gutted and now I've got to go through insurance to replace my livelihood. To the thieves you are scum low lives I hope you die a painful death.

As a budget traveler, I appreciated the simplicity and efficiency this hotel provided during my recent stay. The lobby, though modest, greeted me with warm hospitality, and the check-in process was swift and hassle-free. The room, while compact, was clean with all the essential amenities one would expect: a comfortable bed, clean linens, a functional bathroom.Despite its budget-friendly rates, Travelodge doesn't compromise on comfort. The bed was surprisingly cozy, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city. The noise level was minimal, allowing for a peaceful rest. While the hotel doesn't offer extravagant amenities like a gym or a fancy restaurant, it does have a charming café where guests can grab a quick bite or a cup of coffee before heading out for the day. Additionally, its central location made it convenient to access M1 and public transportation also Luton aiportOverall, Travelodge exceeded my expectations for a budget hotel. It may not be luxurious, but it more than makes up for it with its affordability, cleanliness, and friendly service. For travelers seeking a comfortable stay without breaking the bank.

The first night the room I stayed in 242 was disgusting. It had a horrible urine smell coming out of the double bed mattress and the carpet had several what looked like poo stains. It was a filthy mess with no hand wash to use either. I went down to ask for room change or new bedding and was told cleaners will come at 10am. I slept in that bed with my toddler and had a horrible night. All 4 of us felt physically sick due to the smell in that room. Next morning I asked for a room change, I was not going to wait around for cleaners.Second room The wall of room number 150 had what I can only assume was a dog had peed against the wall and this room also had brown stain marks on the carpet here and there. But no smell. Yet again no hand wash and there were these small, thin cream colour worms. Running around the bathroom floor. The taps in the bathtub had lime scale and filthy bathtub had hair and toilet seat was wobbly. For 2 nights I paid £137 for a family room. I would expect a cleaner room than what I was given. Location is perfect. The hotel itself a disgrace. I will not be staying here again ever!

Absolutely awful, never again. We stayed before a flight from Luton airport on Wednesday night. Was approached by a drug dealer who was staying at the hotel as soon as we arrived at the car park, which then left us worrying about our car most of the night. We then checked in, staff were ok but weren't friendly by any means. Our room smelt like drains and was dirty. The bathroom was dirty and had clearly not been cleaned properly. The hotel just felt unclean and not cared for. There was quite a lot of noise throughout the night too from other rooms. After already 4 hours of travelling from the North, we were really disappointed but honestly were too tired to speak with staff about our room, and we weren't convinced the other rooms would be any different! Really disappointed with Travelodge, this is the first bad hotel we have stayed at and it's put us off. We were looking forward to leaving at 3am in the morning for our flight. The only good thing was the location, it's right next to the M1 and offers a quick escape route.

Very shabby, beds are mostly decent and clean but the toilet especially the sink and shower taps are usually stained and dirty. It's next to a busy main road and not all windows have double glazing and you can get a lot of boy racers screeching their souped up jalopeys along the road or just revving them not recommended.

The Room had a bed that was lumpy, collapsing and gave off an oder of rot. The toilet was dirty and covered in brown and pink stains of makeup and other detritus. The shower wouldn't run warm water (only lukewarm and cold). The desk staff were away for an hour when I entered the hotel and come back to a line of guests including me. The hotel is situated next to the M1 motorway which although can be convenient for some it causes a lot of noise.
