Stunning spot in a historic and profound place in England. Honoured to have been invited to two gatherings with top notch thought leaders. Hospitality is amazing and beds super comfy. Have yet to explore the grounds and location properly, but great work on sustainability happening, so excited to update once I go back to have a look.

Have been here a few times now, a special birthday which was a private hire event and went really well. Bar time to start followed by a time for good and lovely food with a feel of the place views and history. Also can only compliment the overly people running the orchard tea rooms (volunteers I'm told) Has great coffee and cakes and is comfortable and nice feel about the place. Reasonable prices too.

Only visited the grounds rather than hotel but lovely grounds. Perfect for kids to run around, nice play area and good cafe too. Will be making it a regular spot to visit.

Why haven?t I been to this park earlier?! What a hidden gem, and would definitely recommend the tea room. The gardens are kept immaculate, just beautiful to view.It was so peaceful to go during a weekday, and will definitely be walking my dog and taking my daughter there again.

Traveled down from Norfolk to meet friends with children only to find that the park was closed. Nothing on the website about it being closed, so it was a wasted journey. Kids were very disappointed and when mentioned it to staff they didn't seem to care.

Can't comment on the rooms as we didn't stay there. We were just visiting for the day. Called at the tea room after a walk around the woods and grounds. Excellent service and a good menu very reasonably priced. The food was fresh and well presented. We opted for the savoury cheese scone.Noteworthy details: Ample parking. Easy to find. Good footpaths

On arrival we were welcomed by a lovely lady who showed us to our room in this fabulous old manor house offering us country side views.Rooms are very clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are convenient shops nearby and many pubs serving food within a few miles. The Five Bells in Henlow comes highly recommended. The grounds are beautiful and surrounding areas outstanding. We were so happy to find this rare gem.We will be back on our next visit to Bedfordshire for sure.

This place is really difficult to review. First off , some details. Tours are usually available only on Sundays and Wednesdays and are booked through the website. Historic house members go free. Otherwise adults are £10. The house was designed by sir John soanes, one of only a couple still standing. For that reason, this grade 1 listed building is of historical importance. However if you are expecting plush interior fittings , then you will be disappointed. The majority of the rooms are an architectural shell. Now the tour is informative , the guide was enthusiastic but the frustration he felt about lack of funding, and vision for this great building was clear. There is so much that this place could be used for and the fact some rooms are now a bed and breakfast may help raise some funds to do what needs to be done. Overall an interesting , sometimes inspirational, sometimes a slightly depressing experience.
