I try not to bother doctors unless I?m really sick as I have t had good experiences in the past and haven?t felt listened to. So making an appointment is a big concern for me, however I had cause to make an appointment on Friday last week. Was only on hold for about 15minutes at 8am and got an appointment at 10. I saw Nurse Olivia and felt I was really listened to and that she understood my concerns. She was absolutely fantastic and a credit to the surgery. I needed a referral and this was ready for lunchtime on the following Monday. Cannot speak highly enough of SHC based on this experience.

Just joined and so far an abysmal service. Prescription request ignored and told to make a request much later when it?s too late. Emailed the surgery over a week ago explaining the situation, no response. For a separate issue, I need to book an appointment. Can?t book an appointment online as no appointment available, so sent a message to the GP using their ?Ask a GP? service which provides a response within 2 days. Over a week later no response either. Tried calling, no one picks up. So basically no service in any way, shape or form.

The reception staff at sandy health centre are fantastic! So polite and helpful! I have always managed to get an appointment when it matters! All the doctors are good and the nurses are too! You have served us well since we have lived here! Keep up the good work!One recommendation: it would be great to update the online system and have appointments released at midnight for the following day! Much easier than ringing up on the day!

Compared to the experience of friends and family at other practices, Sandy Health Centre seems to be doing its best to facilitate at least talking to a doctor on the same day as requesting an appointment, and offering face to face consultations when appropriate. It is difficult sometimes when a time slot for a phone call cannot be given, but I do understand why this is not always possible.

The service at this surgery is appalling. Have been trying to do a medication review since 3rd of October have done everything they have asked me to do and still no joy. Also apparently doctors are so busy they don?t do the reviews anymore the pharmacist do them REALLY!!!! Whoever is leading Sandy health centre are a joke and need to get their act together and get this practice back on track

My mother is 87 was suffering for over a year no back up or after care she needed iron infusion to pep her up no follow up from hospital who had sent info to keep a check on her a complete lack of duty of care. Looking into legal action

Great surgery. I have a tendamcy to forget to order my repeat prescription however, they always issue one at short notice with no problem. Unlike other reviews, I've never had a major issue getting an appointment. Staff always pleasant and helpful.

Staff on reception are more helpful now. Getting through to pharmacy impossible. It?s so stressful when our review of medication comes up as there is no one in pharmacy answering phones at any time and when you leave a message it is never followed through. They are letting down a reasonably good medical practice.

Told my daughter that she needed a medication review before they could issue any more medication for her anxiety. Then we were told that there were no appointments for a review, so have taken her off her meds cold turkey. Five months later, still no review and still no meds. Absolutely disgusting, and a danger to life!

Horrid staff I suffer with bipolar disorder I requested a prescription for lithium before my medication review. I was told I couldn't be represcribed and medication until the review had been done phoned up everyday saying that I am nearing closer to having no medication I understand that your busy but to tell someone when you run out of medicine and I state GO COLD TURKEY is very offensive changed doctor's after this had to go to out of hours for a medication review
