This counter service at this branch is a joke (mortgage service is very good on the other hand). No one has a clue about what to do. Once things get a little complicated, they will ask you to call Barclays customer service for things who very often will ask you to visit a branch.
Given that this is the only branch near me, I have pretty much given up on Barclays.

I've been a customer for many years, since moving to the new location the experience of visiting the branch is dreadful. Two clerks stand around in the hall 'can I help you sir', when you say yes please, the reply is we have an appointment at 4pm a week Thursday.
This place is a complete joke and the on line offering is limited, Barclays used to be good, but they have completely lost their way.
Your far better to go with BS or Metro

The only member of staff who wanted to help anyone was a delightful young lady named Stella . I asked the lady behind the desk if they provided a shredder to shred an old statement , she said simply no ! Carried on looking bored . Reported twice to one woman with a clip board that the paper was running out ( coming out with pink lines ) she said yes and ignored me . Stella dealt with everything which I suspect she does on most days !! Come on Barclays get some more Stella's please !!!

Been a customer for over 31yrs and in all that time ive always been treated as a valued customer never had any problems with barclays. Just like to say a very big THANK YOU to Alaine cooper for her very pleasant and helpful service a really fab lady and a credit to barclays!
