“My wife and I had a lovely meal last night. The welcoming reception was first class . The waiters were very polite and friendly. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. The amount of choices of wine available is astounding.Easy to find with good signage .”

“Wonderful stay at Crab & Boar. Unfortunately we had booked through a large hotel booking website who had messed up the booking however the staff here were excellent, very patiently dealing with the situation, facilitating the re-booking on our behalf and passing on a discount in the process.The rooms were very well appointed with our own private patios (we had two rooms) and quality teas and coffees on hand. The food was excellent, as was the service, and the fact it was dog friendly meant our daughter and partner could stay a little longer without worrying about getting back, while also taking advantage of nearby Snelsmore Common which is a haven for dog walkers and families alike.I would highly recommend Crab & BoarFood & drinks: Dinner in the restaurant was excellent with each of us having different meals, all cooked beautifully. Breakfast the following morning was hearty and even included an additional sausage for the dog!!”

“Nice place, near a tesco and retail park, not the best location for a walk into the town center although it can be done, just takes about 30 minutes. A lot of the walk was down a quiet enclosed path, I wouldn't have walked it alone. Breakfast was nice ”

Angelika was super friendly, expertly informed and a true delight.You do not receive this type of care buying online.Pardon the pun but the whole experience was very relaxing. Well done Dreams.”

“Just ate here for Sunday lunch. 3 families: 6 adults, 3 small babies, 1 toddler. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were so patient and kind and made us (mums especially) feel relaxed. It was the perfect Sunday lunch meet for a group of friends who live at either end of the M4. Really recommend this pub for great food (and we are fussy). Amazing Sunday roast. I had the roast pork followed by an amazingly well-mixed espresso martini. Thank you Carnarvon Arms!Food & drinks: Really well-executed pub favourites - refined presentation. Excellent sides for the roast. Cauli cheese was superb.”

“My first time staying in Newbury and I have to say it was surprisingly one of my best stays in a Travelodge. The team did nothing but their best to accommodate to my needs, they were all lovely especially the manager Annie.”

“Hotel is clean and well presented. Staff were friendly and helpful. Event spaces were decent and clean. Parking can be an issue sometimes.Nearby activities: Two-minute walk from the high street, so has great access to various places to eat and drink.”

“OK place. Exceptionally friendly staff. Perfect location for me to break up a long journey. My room had a bath which was the smallest I've ever seen. No plugs near the bed which was another minor inconvenience. Overall no complaints though.Noteworthy details: McDonald's right next door.”
