Went in to send a parcel, around 20 minutes from post office close. Walked over to the sectioned off post office area, picked up an envelope and was told to go pay for the envelope at the WHSmith till at the other end of the shop and come back. In the 2 minutes this took the member of staff shut off all the serf-service machines and put up the closed sign at the desk. All of this despite the office still being officially open for 15 more minutes. They obviously knew I was coming back

One of the worst post offices I have ever seen. Your employees need some maneers while talking to customers. Not every customer knows what to do and if your employees dont have the patience to respond calmly, then they should go find a different job. I rather drive to next town like Thatcham than ever go there again.

Common sense and being practable , gone out the window , made to q up for an hour for self service machine and real staff member , then to be asked to them q for the kiosk , why not ask the people in the w what they are in for , hence making it more efficient and time effective , I just left i didint have a couple of hours to refresh a photo I.D .....so i came back the following day . first in the building just me and Mark the Manager , morning , can i renew my photo card driving licence , due to staff shortages "no" ??huh ?? its me and you here Mark .staff shortages ? apparantly he has to swing his legs round on his chair and use the PC behind him , i so get it if there was a q of 10 behind me ...but Mark it was me and you in the store for 22 minutes . i stayed there . Been in several times to ask advice/collect parcels and found the staff to be really friendly, helpful, and very pleasant, going out of their way.

Horrible!! I have seen Sloths move quicker than this lady at the counter. She also seems to go out of her way to make it as difficult as possible for customers. I saw when she started and hoped she wouldn?t stay long because she?s so slow and abrupt/ rude. Now we only have her at the counter and no one else. Give yourself plenty of time if you are coming in for something. 4 days should be enough I think!

The self service tills do not speed up anything; they aren't that user friendly and you constantly need things authorising and I think they make everything take far longer. I can't help but think the counter service was better all around, quicker and also more covid secure. Also much less frustrating!

I didn't realise by coming to use the post office I was coming in for what seemed like a training session just to send a letter and took forever for the person working to keep authorising everything. Its put me off going back. What happened to trained counter staff that know what they are doing

The usual staff have all left the new staff are very rude and abrupt, 2 lanes for queuing one for counter and the other for posting parcels and they make you queue in one lane what is the point to have 2 lanes ?! Many times several people allowed in without face masks on.

1 star for the 1st visit, awfull management , the passport, driving license photo machine either broken or not being used because short of staff , you would think they would have someone come in from somewhere else that was trained on probably there most important moneymaker so yet again wasted money on car parking, best to phone to see that they have staff and that there systems are working before going.... update went back a month later and it was a major improvement, machines were working and the staff were very pleasant so well done to all , upped the stars to 4 . keep up the good work to improve.

Very poor customer service. I was trying to post a letter abroad but I am not familiar with the self-machines. I asked for help but the tone of voice from the young man serving me was obnoxious and arrogant, saying such things as "we have been using these machines for years, we know what we're doing". The people working here should realise that just because they have used the self-machines everyday, it does not mean the general public always know what they are doing because they don't always use them!

On two occasions I have used newbury post office at W H Smith feeling less than confident. On both occasions a guy with a long grey ponytail was very sympathetic and helpful. I did not notice his name just his kindness and professionalism. Please thank him for me he is a very valuable asset to your. organisation. Trudie Thomson
