Stayed here en route to Chichester and although this is a hotel at Newbury Tot Hill services it was ok. Be warned though there is absolutely no phone signal. You can buy WiFi access at the hotel but it was quite frustrating having to stand on my bed near the window to ring my mum to let her know I got to the hotel safely. There is enough parking and it is next door to a Starbucks and McDonald's. Other than that you are miles from anywhere. Reception staff was great and changed my room from a first floor one to a ground floor one after I learned there isn't a lift in the hotel and I have a heavy suitcase. Two points to note when staying here:No lift in the hotelNo phone signal.Rooms: Room was clean and tidy had a heater although the bathroom can do with a revamp.

OK place. Exceptionally friendly staff. Perfect location for me to break up a long journey. My room had a bath which was the smallest I've ever seen. No plugs near the bed which was another minor inconvenience. Overall no complaints though.Noteworthy details: McDonald's right next door.

I have stayed in loads of travelodges and this was not the best. The room had loads of insects in and had a funny smell, it looked clean until you look closer. It was quiet and comfortable, so I slept well and there was free parking out front. The location was good too with places to eat.

Perfect base for exploring the local area. Room was clean and quiet. Adeel checked us in and he and his colleagues could not have been more helpful. Handy location with Starbucks, McDonalds and Waitrose very close by.

The staff at the desk were welcoming but unfortunately the hotel is looking very tired and in need of refurbishment. Our room smelt musty and damp and the bathroom was not clean or well maintained, we were glad we were only staying one night

Bed was comfortable, you have extra pillows which I find convenient to have. Was clean to the standard I like. Amazing staff, I dealt with Adeel at the receptionist. Who was polite and accommodating. Extra teas and coffees can be requested, for the duration of the stay, which is a win in my books.

Good proximity for Highclere castle for our prom weekend. Free parking which was nice, staff very friendly. Good breakfast and comfy bed. We would return if we were in the area again, there was a Starbucks and McDonald?s for cheap and cheerful eating too.

Friendly and professional welcome from Meebs at reception. I had a few questions about the Wi-Fi and breakfast offerings and she was very patient explaining and showing me how the wifi works. Decent enough sleep. Room was clean and tidy Very good value for money

The hotel is clean and tidy, the room was spacious, warm and had a bath/shower which was great after a long drive. The staff are polite and friendly. Anthony was very nice and helpful. Overall a very good stay! The only thing to improve on was to have a hair dryer in the room.

Nice large comfy bed. Hot shower. Spacious room. Yea/coffee facilities. What more do you want for an overnight stay. The only negative was the musty smelling carpets in the hallway, however the room itself was fine.

Very tired hotel, can see why only £29 per night. Disparately in need of modernisation, I stayed in the same hotel three years ago just before lock down and it hasn?t received any meaningful maintenance since then.

Room/bathroom was dirty and had a smell. In-fact the whole inside of the hotel including carpets need a whole renovation or a good thorough clean. There was no mobile reception or signal within the hotel or room and the WIFI offered by Travelodge was only available free for 30 minutes and then you have to pay! There was no shower gel/body wash and bottles were empty inside the bathroom. There were a lack of amenities and kettle was also dirty. Finally bedding also looked like it had not been washed properly. I did not opt for the breakfast as you have to pay extra for this. Overall the experience was poor to say the least. The only positive thing was that the bed/mattress was comfortable and the location being at a service station was also quite and therefore provided a good nights sleep. There is a Starbucks and McDonalds outside but these are only open for normal hours. There is a nearby petrol station which is open for 24 hours though if you need to grab something late at night. In my opinion if you are just planning on stopping for a rest/overnight sleep on your way to somewhere far then it is fine as a last resort otherwise I would highly not recommend!Rooms: Very poor and dirty, needs fully renovating.Nearby activities: Not much as the hotel is located at a service station.Food & drinks: A Starbucks and McDonalds are available outside but open as per their normal hours. There is a petrol station open 24 hours though.
