Today I visited the Apple Store in the Oracle Centre Reading. I one of those people that really doesn?t understand phones, technology or setting up a new iPhone. I wanted to purchase a new iPhone 15 pro handset and transfer everything from my old iPhone 12 Pro.I was absolutely privileged to be served by Scott Who was just absolutely amazing. He was professional, informative, patient with me, as I didn?t really know what I was looking for, understanding with an element of humour and no question was a stupid question, he was wonderful, I was then moved onto Rebecca who went ahead and did the set up and the transfer of my new phone from my old phone, she was equally as helpful and supportive as Rebecca, I was dreading going into the store because I?m not particularly phone information technology, highly knowledgeable, but Scot was so helpful with the best customer service standards along with Rebecca, I would really really encourage anybody to track these two individuals down if you go to the Oracle store in Reading , I?m sure other employees are equally as good, but I had the privilege of dealing with Scott and Rebecca. Well done Apple for employing such wonderful people.

Not really into typing reviews all the time but unfortunately I had a saddening visit to the Apple Store, upon my arrival I was greeted and the first initial issue I had was my AirPods, the replacement was done for from which I was happy with the service for, I?ve also requested for a battery replacement on my phone, whilst I was there for my battery to be replaced, I?ve waiting almost 1hr 45 minutes to be returned back my phone with a damage screen & battery not replaced, I was utterly disappointed certainly with the Amount of time I?ve waited for, to then be told that due to a battery or screen replacement by a non Apple technician there was found a damaged LCD, I was quite shocked and disappointed certainly as there hasn?t been any major issues with my device, however Apple has advice for me to ither get a screen replacement which I can buy a new phone for that price or simply keep it how it be! Thanks apple!

Shop looks nice, it's tidy and seems well organised. People are generally there and ready to assist which is also great and convenient

We had a horrible experience today at the apple store at the Oracle Reading.The person who was supposed to help us transfer data was so condescending it was shocking !! He was doing the exact same thing to the elderly couple sat opposite us ! Every question was answered with a smirk, a counter question and a very smug expression ! He made us feel stupid and spoke to us like we were toddlers!However I would like to add that we have never been treated like this by any other employee there. Everyone else is usually very respectful, polite and friendly. This unpleasant experience stood out for this very reason.

My wife's iPhone lost face id. So popped in, they checked and repaired in 4 hours. The camera had gone bye-bye. Staff were friendly and helpful. One slight downside is that we saw at least 4 staff in the course of the repair. On the bright side, it was repaired without any real fuss and faff.

Just walking into this place I feel my IQ drop 20 points. Staff are uppity if you dare to suggest your product is experiencing issues. Walking out you feel like you have just been mugged and insulted.

I booked into the Genius Bar to have my MacBook Pro M2 repaired. The device completely failed after 14 months of use having sat on my desk for all that time. After diagnostics they found a problem with the retina screen and the keyboard. The assistant and I both agreed that a simultaneous failure is probably down to the logic board. They had one in stock so I left the device to be tested. I knew I was looking at a bill of between £600-£900. However, we agreed that I would only make that decision once the logic board had been swapped in order troubleshoot the problem. I tried to contact them every day to get an update. Every day they responded that they were waiting for parts, even though they already had a logic board in stock. At no time did they try to contact me to offer a status update. When I insisted they call me back it was to inform me that they were not going to proceed with repair, citing that it was going to be too expensive. Importantly it slipped out that they hadn't done any further testing of the logic board, and a strong implication that they didn't proceed because they didn't believe I would want to pay the repair bill. It was patently clear that they didn't attempt to repair device and made assumptions over my ability to pay. I do believe the experience warrants a 1 star review but I am gifting another star for the assistant who was initially helpful.
