Lots of bugs and wasps lying around on the poolside, and water was too hot for me. Roof off in the summer was nice and changing rooms were ok. For £100 + not worth it really but if you're a member at a higher tier its nice to have. Staff were nice tho.Parking signs are pretty misleading, don't pay the parking although it says you need to pay by phone.3 stars for me, nice looking pool, probably nice in the winter but please can the poolside be cleaned more regularly. I hate wasps!

I've been a member of David Lloyd Reading for around 3 months now - the services, people and atmosphere have always been fantastic with every visit. Staff are always friendly and willing to help, the gym has plenty of room and equipment and I've always managed to have a lane in the swimming pool ? my PT Stephen has been amazing, always helping me to push further and encouraging me for a better workout - would definitely recommend joining.

Great club with a friendly atmosphere, welcoming staff, and good facilities. I regularly use the gym which is always clean and tidy. Stephen Barratt is a great personal trainer, and I am extremely happy with the progress I have made in the last 6 months working with Stephen. Stephen is super supportive, very knowledgeable, provides variety to our workouts and is always on hand to answer any questions I have throughout the week. I would highly recommend Stephen to anyone looking for a personal trainer.

Been a member for a few months now and use the gym and pool. Pool is generally clean and you usually get a lane to yourself outside of peak times, which is great! Big shout out to Steve B for being a great personal trainer. Always pushes me hard when I?m being lazy and tells me to calm down when I?m not.

Been a member now for two years and this has been by far the best one. The roof off the pool has been amazing. Rain or shine there is nothing better than a swim and it is never too busy, can always find a lane or somewhere to sit by the pool. The gym is brilliant, plenty of equipment and really friendly staff to help when you need a bit of advice on what you are doing. 2 years ago I didn?t think I?d be a gym person but I can?t get enough of it now

I have been attending the David Lloyds for nearly 7 years. The staff is approachable and friendly. The instructors are professional and it is kept clean. The outdoor swimming is a big plus during summer time. Club kids is also a big plus. This year the jacuzzi was with no issues. Keep it up!

I have been a member now for 20 years. I particularly love the pool!!Very helpful and friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.Kathryn and Kelly have always been wonderful and will do anything for you. Cafe staff are always exceptionally polite and helpful.Steven,one of the gym instructors, is fab and puts a lot of effort into his classes. My children love the pool as well! Overall a fab place to come for a workout,swim or both!

Calm but busy Club, I?m a quiet area away from traffic. Lots of facilities and classes, huge variety of equipment. Amazing staff members always ready to help. You can find delicious snacks at the bar and plenty of protein shakes and smoothies options.This is definitely a place to relax in the spa facilities after an exhausting day at work or get pumped in the morning getting ready for the day.

I?m not usually one to leave reviews, but feel this club merits the positive recognition. My family and I have been members of this club for the last year or so and I nothing but great things to say about our time here . For me the big positive is how friendly & welcoming an atmosphere there is & that?s largely due to its small family feel. The staff can?t do enough for you, follow up on feedback & all the instructors in the classes I?ve attended are first class. We also love & use regularly the crèche facility (Pam you are a credit to the team) as well as the kids club that is available at the weekends. Now that summer is here, we are also LOVING our alfresco swims- thank you to the team for making this possible this year. Keep up the good work!

Used this gym while in the area for work and had a really positive experience. The staff were friendly and approachable, especially Elsie who was great and is happy to point you in the right direction if you ever get lost ?. The gym facilities were bright and airy and I really enjoyed being able to take a swim after my workout. Looking forward to using this gym during my next visit to Reading.

Not a huge fan of working out in public and in front of others, despite this the staff and trainers were very accommodating and extremely polite. Moreover the pro-activeness to the gym experience did not go unnoticed, immediately getting a tour of the place helps with understanding the lay of the land and the number of classes a huge plus. The roaming membership is also an added benefit.

Just a big thank you for the wonderful welcome I received when I visited the Reading DL Club. I was visiting the area for work and needed to get into the gym for a workout. I booked a trainer for a session and they were very helpful and encouraging. The reception team, understood That I was visiting from my home club in London, and explained the layout of the club and guided me to all the areas I needed. I will be regularly using the club when visiting the area with work. A home club from my Home club.

Always great experiences when we visit David Lloyd, but especially Reading. The sales team were such a great help when we were setting up Corporate, especially Callum. Any questions any of us had, they've been answered quickly by reception or sales.

I do not recommend . Forever not working sauna or steam room or jacuzzi .... and so every week. But the fees remain the same. I wrote an email about it, now what? no response for 3 weeks. The manager assured me that the case would be solved and I would get a pass for my friends. The snow will find us earlier than they do anything ? They generally don't care about old customers. When new customers come, they are very nice and tell lies how great it is there. Will write again! Eternal SPA problems. In the steam room there is a pile of dirt in the corners. Someone snotted in the steam hanger and that's how it lay for 3 days!!! Disgusting !

Amazing customer service right from online enquiry through to my first day at the club - really took the time to show me everything in the tour, explained every membership option in detail, and didn?t feel pressured at all to rush into a decision. Could not recommend Callum enough, really personable and answered all my questions both in person and over email. Lovely gym also, has everything you could need and more, and the outside pool is a dream!
