Use this post office frequently. Staff very efficient and always helpful. Queue generally much shorter and moves faster than the queue in the WH Smith PO.

Thank you @Alpesh Patel for going out of they way and help us out. We had to travel all the way from Gillingham to Reading just to collect our BRPs and we had no clue when they will be available at the Post Office. We requested Post office team to let us know once they arrived and thanks to Patel Bro, he called us and informed once they arrived.At the branch also he and other team members were kind enough, it was overall a great experience. Thumbs up to all the team. :)

I found the guy on the front counter extremely rude. Really should learn some manners before providing customer service. I was there to drop off my Amazon parcel today. Which was prepaid. Then he started shouting at me that why my parcel is not packed and wrapped. Clearly the Amazon email stated to not wrap the package and to leave it in the original packaging. Then he goes on saying how he should charge £5 for wrapping my parcel ? After I showed him my QR code he directed me to the next counter where thankfully I didn?t have to pay for anything and not shouted at for a one minute job. Please please teach your staff to handle customers.

The shop feels a little unloved, but look past that and see the ?no job is too much trouble? attitude from the staff and you?ll keep coming back. One touch I particularly love is that, unlike many post offices, you can pack your item and then pay for the postage and packing together, which is a godsend when you?re in a hurry or have loads to do. The opening hours are better than many as well.

I feel like being robbed every time I'm going there. Prices are always different and more expensive than listed in RM website.Been asking for price list, but they always laugh and never have it. Leaving me to wonder wtfs going on...

In the 6/7 years I've been using this post office I've NEVER had a problem. The staff are fantastic and SO helpful. I'll be using this branch always. Those that complained clearly had issues themselves

WHSMITH post office MUCH better. I AM NOT USING BROAD STREET MALL POST OFFICE AGAIN.I am extremely dissatisfied with my recent experiences at the Broad Street Mall post office. On my last two visits, I encountered a young gentleman who provided subpar service and charged me more than I should have been for postage.During my first visit a few years ago, I was charged for a prepaid Amazon parcel that I wanted to return. Despite having prepaid postage on the package, the employee insisted that I still needed to pay. The issue was resolved by Amazon, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.During my most recent visit on Easter Monday, I requested a domestic small letter to be tracked with 48-hour delivery and signed for. The employee told me that this was not available and only online and through parcel force and has to be a parcel, and offered me only one option for delivery, which cost £6.85. I asked if this was the cheapest option, and he told me that it was the only option for a signed delivery. However, I later discovered on the Post Office website that there were other options available, such as first-class signed delivery for only £2.60 . When I confronted the employee about this after payment, he insisted that special delivery was the cheapest guaranteed option, and even smirked at me in a condescending manner. The other male who insisted i pay for the prepaid during the last visit was also present. They are charging their customers whatever they feel like or perhaps they need further training to familiarise themselves with the products they are selling.Overall, I found the service at this post office to be unhelpful and dismissive. I feel like I was not given all the available options and was charged more than I should have been. As a result, I am extremely dissatisfied and will not be using this post office again. Instead, I will stick to the WHSmith post office where I have received more honest and helpful service in the past.RESPONSE TO OWNER:My point is that the employee did not adequately explain the other options for postage and acted inappropriately by automatically choosing the more expensive next day delivery option without first discussing this with me first when 48hr tracked or signed was not available.I only used your post office because the one located in WHSmith was closed. I would rather wait next time until they open.

VERY rude over the phone.I am in limbo with what has happened to my parcel.I just wanted some information as I have never in 10 years lost an item until I use this post office.Lady Lied about when item has been shipped.Will never be going back there in a million years. Would prefer to walk on broken glass than use this post office again.

The Customer Service is brilliant and the Staff are ever so helpful. Always use this Post Office when need to.

Just popped in to post a parcel to the US. Was dreading it, expecting the usual chaos and long queues which are the norm in post offices these days. Couldn?t have been more pleasant. Staff super helpful, friendly and quick. Keep up the good work!

The best post Office in Reading they helped me with my passport form after make so many mistakes.They went above and beyond .I receive my passport with in one week. I will recommend to go there if you are in Reading.One very happy customer.

This post office is by far the most unprofessional one based in reading compared to the one in WHSmith! I had an incident not to longer ago where I was posting a valuable item to an address. Making the post office aware I might be getting potentially scammed they offered to hold the phone over night & for me to come in and let them know if I had received payment from the ?customer? I was selling the phone to. I arrived at broad street mall post office the next day around 2/3pm to collect my phone. Without my consent one of the two workers at this post office sent the phone out for delivery without any confirmation from me which I find highly unprofessional! Their excuse was I didn?t come first thing in the morning to collect my phone & after a certain time they have to send it off for delivery. The man had failed to tell me this information the day before expecting me to know how they work! I had spent the next 3 days trying to stop my phone during transit. This post office didn?t feel the need to help me out after their decision to post the phone! I have now lost out on money and a phone which I could?ve received back and sold again if they waited for me to confirm! I am very disappointed and will not be returning to use their services again nor should you! If you would like to post mail without issues & unprofessionalism I recommend visiting the Royal Mail post office upstairs in WHSmith which I am a regular customer at but the one time i decide to go to the one in broad street mall I loose a valuable item which now someone has in their possession without paying! Both Royal Mail and the broad street mall post office did not help and told me to call 101 for assistance in receiving my valuable & once I had reached them I was also told they couldn?t do anything about it! Moral of the story is if you?d like to prevent any issues and unnecessary stress do not visit this store!!
