“The building is like another home, it's where I meet with friends every Friday evening. I help out and work with other volunteers. The Salvation Army have been known to help people as a meeting venue, however, this building is also for storing goods that assist the vulnerable, poor and lonely. This particular building & all the events & diligence of the volunteers is a blessing. Sadly, on the flip side, and this is something I happen to have first hand knowledge of, the Salvation Army in many places where guys stay can be utterly ghastly places due to poor management. Notwithstanding, even though some of these buildings are incredulous regardinģ what really goes on, one cannot tarnish them all with the same brush, like every institution there will always be a % that should not represent the true vision and mission of the wonderful William Booth & his wife! However, apart from some additional info, I highly recommend this centre.”

“Lovely, typical town church. We go here to listen to folk concerts and the atmosphere is always superb. Generally the sound is good with that lovely echo that you get from being in a church. Will definitely be going again.”
