“Although room initially looked great, itcwas quite expensive at £170 and the two mirrors were set so high, on my tiptoes i could just see, at arms length, no good for make up or shaving.Apparently no wifi, no information in rooms other than menu/ times for meals. Bed comfy, room a bit cold single glazed door and windows with blinds.Breakfast was fine, main complaint the tongs were ' shared' for mushrooms and hash browns, as a coeliac i wiped the best tongs and luckily noticed hash brown in the mushroom pot. I cant eat gluten free bread anyway. But there seemed no provision for this.Happy with cooked bacon, Mushroom. Tomato and some fruit plan yoghurt. Coffee was fine.Others in our party remarked there was no phone to ring reception ( they wanted a mirror too).Lots of little niggles.Lovely ponds and stables lovely decoration.Chap on reception very quiet not at all welcoming and ignored us as we left.Pity as a few things would have made it 10/10”

“We visited the Duke's Head as a starting point for a circular countryside walk we were planning around that end of Wokingham. We arrived very early (about 11am!) before the pub was properly open, but the landlord very kindly offered us hospitality and drinks. The pub is large and has a nice garden space, and felt welcoming and cosy. The landlord was very friendly and chatted with us - he mentioned that there's b & b accommodation available too, so we may well come back and take him up on this and explore a bit more of the town, which is full of character and interesting shops and buildings. We really enjoyed our visit, and it made a great start to our day and our impression of Wokingham as a whole. Looking forward to coming back soon!”
