Do not replace standard car batteries here. My wife was charged £18.95 to replace a standard Nissan Qashqai car key battery, which is just a CR2023 battery. When my wife complained they gave the explanation that it had a 2 year guarantee. We have used Duracell CR2023 batteries on JLR and Nissan keys which have lasted longer then 2 years. We are left feeling ripped off and therefore would not use Timpson services in future.

Disappointed as reviews previously were good. Guy was not informative. Wanted a watch battery. £14.99 plus 1 yr guarantee or £24.99 lifetime guarantee. RIP off. £10 in Woodley Goldsmiths and 1yr free guarantee. Also had coded key cut. He took details and money. Then he says will take 5 working days! Went back to pick it up - key doesn't fit!! Even though it's coded. Paid £28. Ordered new key online via Yale locks- £17.99 & free delivery and delivered in 5 days. Don't bother with this place.

I made 3 visits in a day. The employee was so helpful. I offered a tip but he politely declined.

I recently requested for Timpson to cut a blade I purchased off ebay, which they declined, stating its company policy not to cut after market keys. I appreciate their policy may be in place to protect their machines but feel a little frustrated that without anyone willing to cut the key, all these aftermarket keys are pointless. What makes this all the more annoying is that I have been previously successful in getting a key cut by them.Needless to say I'm not blaming them entirely, hence rating them 3, not 1.

Timpson, Sainsbury?s car park, Winnersh.WARNING. I took my wife?s watch there on 19th December, that is 10 weeks ago; they told me it would take about 4 weeks to mend it. They have lost it. My latest encounter there (of 3 or 4) was about 10 days ago. The man in charge that day, thin, thityish, shaved head, called Gary, made 2 phone calls and seemed to reach no conclusion with either. Told me to call back in a week or so. No, he couldn?t phone me ?cos the company phone was broke (sic). When I asked him, twice, to let me have contact details so that I could complain, he suddenly, without warning, tried to push me out of the door, down the metal steps and onto the tarmac. I am 83 years old and pretty weak after being ill since October, but fortunately managed to halt my fall. He then called the police to come and remove me from the premises! I left, not wanting any further trouble. I wrote to the CEO of Timpsons, Sir John T, 10 days ago, asking him to sort it out by today. I have not yet had a reply. Hence no stars.

Popped in to get a passport photograph. Very helpful staff member who took his time to take a very good photo. Uploaded the image directly onto the government website and gave me 4 passport size photos and the login code. First class service.

Have taken a pair of toggi jopher ankle boots for resoleing now on 6th attemped by them to get it right so far i have heard excuse after excuse oh its the heat, the jopher boots are not for riding or walking around the stable, its the horse urine affecting the glue, the foot in the stirup is in the wrong position thus the friction is causing the glue to fail.A little homework on Timpsons part would show that the toggi jopher boot is suitable for both yard work and ridinding as that is the boots porpouse. And the attidude of the bearded man was both rude and argumentative when it was pointed out that the sole was still not done properly mearly by ribbing my thumb over an unglued portion of sole
