The waiting times are very long, usually at least 40 minutes. The last thing you need when feeling very ill and needing to get home quickly. In addition, medicines were not delivered as scheduled.

Painfully slow. They clearly need more staff and probably more space. Hardly any queue but still over 30 minute weight for some tablets.

The staff were friendly and helpful; and appeared to be working extremely hard for customers. However, the general organisation was not particularly good. The queue ticket machine was out of order and customers arriving to present prescriptions were unclear where to wait amongst the milling crowd. Better signage would have improved the situation. It was surprising that patient prescriptions were not delivered to the pharmacy electronically, avoiding the need to queue in long lines twice; especially as hospital prescriptions cannot be fulfilled at any other pharmacy. Additional staffing might alleviate waits of more than an hour.

Very long queue. Take a pack lunch with you, you'll need it while waiting. The queue is so long, that it trails to the main entrance. They have now decided to remove the retail side of the shop, which makes it difficult for patients and anyone who is staying with them, to buy essential products. I needed to buy some deodorant, toothpaste and shampoo. There was nothing available, so I had to walk into Broadmead to get what I needed. I wasn't the only person who didn't want to wait hours at the hospital for their prescriptions.Shameful excuse for a pharmacy!

1 star is too much, such a dreadful pharmacy located in Bristol Royal Infirmary . They never answer the phone so no way of finding out where your prescription is.Other pharmacies should be allowed to issue medication rather than Boots having the main contract which they obviously cannot cope with.Good luck to anyone needing important and vital medication.Boots you need to sort this out .

I wish I could give zero stars!My prescription was requested by my consultant 2 weeks ago but I still have not received it. It's meant to be delivered from here to my local Boots for an easier collection but still no sign of it yet. I was thinking I'll just head into the BRI to collect it myself directly but judging by the other reviews this wouldn't be any more successful.Such an appalling service. They clearly can't cope with the volume of prescriptions. It's made all the more frustrating that I have to get my tablets from the hospital, I can't just take it to a different pharmacy.I think the hospital should seriously consider replacing Boots with a pharmacy that can actually do the job!Update: Just tried calling Boots but, as others have said, it rang and rang, no answer. :-(

Boots you should be ashamed of yourselves. Today you had only two staff collecting prescriptions and dispensing. I waited two hours and my prescription was not Still not ready so i will have to return tomorrow. This pharmacy is situated in a busy main hospital with doctors and consultants handing out many prescriptions daily. Boots this is not good enough. I really feel for your staff, you are extremely lucky to have them.

was told 1 hour wait to receive prescription .my number was called so went to counter only to be told to join the queue . from giving in prescription to receiving it took just over two hours . then to top it off was told i would need to come back and pay or if easier pay over phone ... phone just rings off

Would give zero stars if I could. Obviously can?t cope with the contract from the BRI. I?ve been waiting 2.5 weeks for an important prescription to be sent to my local Boots from this branch. When I went into my local Boots to follow up again I was told I should ask my consultant to chase it - I?m sure they have better things to do! Insanely bad service! Waiting in the branch is as bad - completely stupid system for requesting and then picking up your prescription which takes over 2 hours.

Waited over 2 hours and 20 minutes, I was told by another customer who was 1 number above me they've just called my number, I asked the same woman he hear call my number to be asked if my number was green on their board. No it wasn't, I then spent the next 40 minutes watching the numbers above me go green. 1 lady told me to go up and see if mine was ready and it was a mistake on the board,which I reluctantly did. I was then told they only had 1 of my items and I'd have to come back tomorrow. I was annoyed only by the fact I had to wait the additional 40 minutes to be told this, the incompetent woman who actually called my number 40 minutes previously could of told me this. A complete shambles

Never waited so long for such unsatisfactory service. 7 days on and I still don't have antibiotics for the stitches in my face. Total joke.Tried calling from home too, the phone just rings off the hook
