I think the people who work here deserve a raise! Always so kind, super supportive! I forgot my card once and they remember me and the guy even check the cctv to find me to give back the card! The ladies are smiley and helpful too!

I went to co op today with my mum to buy something and was wrongly accused by a certain bearded Indian guy. Apparently "I stole and didn't pay for it". My mom and I kept showing him my receipt for proof that I had paid for my item, despite persistently insisting and opening up my luggage for him to see, he still labelled me as a thief. After all of that, he still refused to apologize and went on further to ban us from the shop. Before this occurrence I have noticed this guy in particular staring and following me all around the shop whenever like I was a thief. He shouldn't go scot free for the way we were treated today and it's totally unfair. There isn't any excuse for the foolery he displayed today.

The shop is horrible, i hate sharing bad reviews but i just had to,there is a particular black indian guy that works there that is very racist, whenever any non white person walks into the shop he harasses them by staring or stylishly following them around the shop,he makes me feel so uncomfortable.Just today he accused my younger sister that she had taken something from the shop and refused to take the receipt she was showing him, my mum was there and was able to handle the situation and insisted that he checked the receipt.I cant count the number of times we have bought or purchased things from the shop for us to be harassed this way.He refused to apologise to my younger sister or mum for accusing them wrongly and told them that they are banned from buying things from the shop because they insisted that they paid for all they took.He has a very deranged personality and I do not think such a person should be in retail.I also work in the retail service and i would never treat a customer that way .He didn?t even apologise after finding out she did not take anything from the shop.If i could give this zero stars, I would.

My sister and mum went to co-op today to buy items from the shop, and my sister paid for the items at the shop while my mum was still picking some items to pay for, there's a particular black Indian guy that accosted my sister telling her that she took extra items that she hadn't paid for, my sister showed him the receipt because she used the self payment option he refused to take the receipt from her.He didn't know that my mum was in the shop,he refused to apologize to her or my mum and told my mum she was banned from buying things from the shop,we are regular customers and I'm very sure we have spent thousands at that shop,so for us to be embarrassed, wrongly accused and not even apologized to is extremely horrible behaviour.

The service is usually great at my local co op but yesterday I had the worst and most unfriendly service ever. I've worked in the service industry for over ten years and completely understand how difficult it can be with low pay and long hours etc. But there is absolutely no reason not to be pleasant towards customers. Whether we like it or not it is part of the job and really not difficult. I didn't even get a hello or a smile. The young girl didn't speak to me at all and hardly looked at me, just shoved my things down as if I was a huge inconvenience. I was already having a bad day and felt even worse leaving the shop. Please do better!

Living locally I've frequented this store numerous times and on every visit it underwhelms me even more (hard to believe). They never have anything in stock which I need, with many shelves empty no matter the time of day. On my most recent visit to return an Amazon package, the customer service was non-existent which was of no great surprise. Avoid like the plague.

Very nice staff, helpful and polite. They do run out of stuff quickly though.

Good store. Plenty of variety. Pricing at the higher end, I find. Even the 'close to out of date' isn't cheap. Nice staff though. And limited parking outside

My wife went to the co-op to check what time the fresh bakery food would be available in the morning, as we needed quite a lot of pastries for a birthday breakfast.Raj, the manager, asked her what she needed and said they'd bake a special order to be ready an hour earlier than usual the following morning.I turned up in the morning and they had everything boxed up and ready to take away.I never imagined that a big chain like the co-op would take on special requests like this, it's maybe what you might expect from an old style local shop.Very impressive, well done to Raj and the team.

Lovely, friendly staff. A busy and popular store, a little store that can get congested when restocking. Staff try to do it quickly and as efficiently as they can. Thank you

Got turned away 10min before closing even though I advised I only needed a sandwich prior to go to work.

Good staff and customer service, but let down by the fact that they often run out of stock- far more than any other shop does. The photo shows where the shop has completely ran of eggs. Good range of stock when it's in though!

During social distancing -1. Masking tape acting as 2m markers - they blend too much into the grey flooring.2. No 2m markers around the shop floor like what has taken place in Tesco.3. No face masks like the staff in Tesco wear.4. No protective screen where the cashiers are like in Tesco. Instead the only things telling you to take precautions are either a typed notice that you?re unable to read until you get to the till and therefore breach the social distancing rules or the cashier serving you to keep your distance.5. No notices in the shop restricting people to certain products to 3 items or less. Little wonder that rice, pasta, tins, toilet paper and baking ingredients are consistently out of stock!!My advice - go to Tesco if you want to shop with a company that does more for its customers during an unprecedented crisis like this.

Awful customer service, rude and didn't seem to care who heard when gossiping at the tills. There is a Tesco down the road with much better staff!
