I went inside HSBC Cabot circus branch at 2pm. I was shocked by the customer service. There was a long que at the front desk. I decided to go up the escalators and talked to man who looked unhappy and didn’t enjoy talking to people. He just told me go downstairs to front desk in angry voice . I went back down and talked to this blonde rude girl. Who wasn’t helpful started to roll her eyes at me and started mocking me when I asked her questions politely. Why do you have employees working there if they don’t like there job ??? Sort your staff out . I won’t be coming back to this rude branch !!!!

If I could give this branch any less I would. I was considering swapping my barclays account over and getting a student account with HSBC. After a complete lack of customer service I finally got an appointment. The incompetent man who served me then continued to do a credit check on me and explained that I couldn't get a credit card when I never asked for one! This obviously badly affected my credit score . Safe to say I walked out and will not be coming back to this branch.

worst and the most worst bank ever!!!! when i came to the UK i selected HSBC as my fisrt choice and i created a bank account and it took more than 3 months for them to send my bank account details. It was very urgent for me to pay my tution fees in that case when informed them about this they only had the option of cancelling it. and i went to cabot circus branch again to open a bank account a fresh one. and it took more than 2 hours for them to clear it out and then they informed there is an error in the system and they would inform me after 1 month but they never informed. so i again had to go to the HSBC on after 2 months to find out and then they simply said was i cannot open a bank account in HSBC . when i asked for the reason atleast they didnt even know it. Very Poor services . i would not recommend HSBC to anybody.

We had previous trouble applying for a new business card which was not being resolved. We popped into the Cabot branch and thankfully Amanda greeted us ! She helped us finally get this resolved and did it with exceptional customer service. We wish we went to see her before hand ! - Thank you Amanda !

Trying to open a business account with HSBC was like a slow and painful death that never end... sort of like hell.
After 5 months of going back and forth with them - it's been over 3 months that they've been 'processing' our application... At this point I don't think it will ever be processed. I don't know what they're doing over there - probably just picking their noses.
Just cancelled our application... sick of waiting. Set one up with Lloyds in 10 days.
The worst part of it is that they are completely unreachable, incommunicable and don't tell you if there's a problem, it's a never ending chasing of problem whack-a-mole . Seriously, its like some sort of punishment the gods hand out.
We were given phone numbers, but no one ever picked up. We went into the branch twice to talk in person, but they were never there.
When I see HSBC now, all I think is: "RUNNNN!!!"

Modern and well equipped HSBC branch in the heart of Bristol town centre and specifically in Cabot Circus. Friendly and knowledgeable staff that helped with my credit card and current account issues. Will make this my local as decent parking nearby.

Unhelpful to say the very least. All female staff I saw we rude and never offered any help to my problem, talked to me like a piece of rubbish. Staff need to go a customer service course ASAP Problem solved eventually but will there be a lessons learned outcome form this?? I won't hold my breath.

Travelled all the way down to this city centre branch (they've closed all the local/suburban High Street branches to save money - never mind that forces customers to travel further) to try and open an account, after they advertise an inducement of £150 for switching. I spend about an hour and a half there (a lot of it waiting to see someone after they fluffed my appointment) because they insist on you being there in person to apply for an account, then they tell you they're not going to give you an account, but refuse to tell you why. Time wasters. Don't bother. I didn't even get offered a drink; what cheapskates. Abysmal customer service. They only want you if they think they can sting you for charges/extortionate interest for going overdrawn or failing to pay off your credit card bill. If you manage your money well, they're not interested in you. Why everyone hates banks.
