I'm disabled. My first and hopefully last visit to this shop today. I needed Milk, butter and eggs.First I had to try to limp through an unnecessarily long queue of customers because only one of the three staff was operating a till. Then I very painfully twisted my slipped spinal disc because staff were ignoring unused shopping trolleys blocking the tiny aisles. Then I got milk and found butter labelled £1.20 a pack, so worked out I could afford two, and got eggs on the way to the till. When I got there I put my phone in wallet with hearing aid app on the counter and got my cash ready. I was asked for £2 more than the shop labelling suggested and it turned out the butter had the wrong price label, not £1.20 a pack but £2.20, which is an extortionate markup.I then went through the extreme embarrassment of having to say I could only afford one of them, with a queue behind me and was actually asked to take it and limp all the way back to the fridge!I lost balance turning to do that and my phone fell on the floor spilling stuff out of the wallet. None of the staff bothered to assist me and I further injured my back bending down to pick it all up, before twisting my spinal injury AGAIN sidling past the aisle blocking trolley again to return the overpriced butter to the fridge. This, in spite of there being 2 staff members doing nothing practical and the mistake being caused by THEIR mispricing. The worst shop experience as a disabled customer in at least 20 years. I will endeavour to never go back, even if I have to go 5 times as far to get to a shop that has civilized and thoughtful consideration of disabled customers, and reasonable prices, such as any shop at Arnside road. The Equality Act 2010 has been the law for 13 years and this shop still haven't adapted to meet it's basic requirements for disabled customer treatment. I think it's a disgrace, and I note from other reviews that other disabled customers have reported being treated badly there too.

Fantastic stuff. Manager Reece & deputy Laura cannot do enough for their customers especially the elderly ones who sometimes go in just to see them and they both make time for a quick chat. All the rest of the staff are lovely too ?

This shop is by far the worst its ever been. Im disabled and have to go completely out of my way most days of the week for milk of all things. The check out staff carol in particular i dont know how shes still got a job as her langauge is terrible and attitude is really messed up.I would never go to this shop if i wasn't disabled and jave to use it.There is 2 blokes there that seem to care all the rest dont care at all because i cant even get the phone answered before leaving to find out I've got to drag myself threw pain to go graystoke for milk. This shop is the opposite of convenient, its always got broken fridges and can never get around the tiny little shop because theres always cages in the way and no one working them.

I use this shop daily can be abit pricey but then they always got deals and bargains on its good for essentials and last minute grabs but not for filling the cupboards or freezer and being the only store In the area you would think they have more bulk options such as pet food and more meat and vegetable varieties

Living locally I visit this store often, every time I visit i'm left waiting in a line full of people due to incompetence of staff, there is a mother and son who work there that would rather argue between themselves than serve customers - I now try and avoid this store at all costs - The staff could do with some people skills training and taught how not to be rude to paying customers!

I give this a one star due to being charged for Thatchers gold 4x440ml £5.25 everywhere else alot cheaper, when asked why is it different price the female said it was the buget, checked prices with other shops price has stayed the same in some case cheaper. The shop always look dirty (ie) windows broke, fridges not working, bad attude from the staff, always waiting alot longer to be served due to staff thinks its ok to chat to customers about thier life stories.

Have to give it a one star review. You don't expect anything good from a Mccolls store. Low wages, very high prices and poorly managed staff create the perfect conditions for something you would NEVER see in any other shop. Overpriced milk, out of date.... By a MONTH!....... Incredible, hard to believe. In fact I took a photo to prove it.
