Today (15/08/2023) at the Galleries Post Office in Bristol eat around 16:24, I was depositing 490 pounds, but I mistyped the pin twice because I enter the pin from another bank account. Then, the middle-aged male staff who was wearing glasses became very impatient and rude, shouting to me 'What are you doing man' just because I mistyped the pin. And when I typed in the pin correctly, he did not tell me my deposit has complete until I asked him. He shouted to me again 'all done!'. I said 'thank you', and he also didn't reply. I should say to this staff 'What are you doing man??? Why are you so rude???

Almost every staff member I?ve interacted with has been helpful and courteous, but this branch is CHRONICALLY understaffed. Despite having so many desks, I have never seen more than one open at a time. Similarly, there are many self-service areas, but usually only one member of staff looking after them.All of this leads to massive queues, waiting times, and consequently, staff and customers getting very stressed out. It?s a gamble whether you?ll be in and out in 30 seconds or waiting for up to an hour.The ?new? location in WHSmith means that there are fewer services that can be offered in person. What was once a well-staffed and thriving location at the top of The Galleries is now a confusing and difficult experience.

One star is generous for this place. Always huge queues with a maximum of two members of staff working though often only one moving at a snails pace. The self service machines are never turned on - why even have them? Not fit for purpose and either needs entirely new management or shutting down all together.

Avoid on weekends! Only one of eight counters staffed. Queues at least an hour long. There's a money changer close by in the same mall, and the next post office is about 15 minutes walk away.

Worst post office ever. Always a 40-45 min wait because the staff are on break or they close their counter so only 1 person serving hundreds of people. Parcels never go on time here, even shipping with Royal Mail special delivery is a waste here as it?s always delayed by this office. Staff are very inconsistent & rude

This place is the worst post office ever. Only opens 9-5 how is anyone with a full time job supposed to be able to get here in those hours. I went to collect my parcel at lunch and there is a queue of over 20 people and one person serving.

Awful experience time and time again. Only 1 member of staff at 9.15am. It would be good to have a sign saying you are short staffed. No signs and staff doing other jobs. Which were not customer facing. Needs a complete overhaul to meet customer demand and expectation.

This is a great branch with helpful staff and self service machines. Sometimes it's hard to hunt down staff but no issue today.

I usually have such a wonderful experience here so in the past I have been lucky and grateful to get the right service with friendly help. But I just posted probate info after my mothers passing and there were no staff to speak of. And so that?s one issue which may not be helped, but the guy behind the glass screen who was there was quite rude I felt, not only to me the customer but to his female colleague. Sure - he may have been under pressure, and I fully get that, but still very unprofessional. He tried to make a joke of his ability to only do one thing at a time, sarcastically and not funny, he was quite annoying, and borderline aggressive. I sincerely believe some people need extra training on how to have basic manners, to care about team mates and deal with customers.Add to this the importance of basic communication skills and I humbly believe that it would run more effectively. Just a little respect and consideration goes a long way.

Very badly run post office. You spend your whole lunch time queuing up. Self service machines often out of order. One person at the counter to serve 50 people whilst remaining staff chat to themselves. Avoid.
