Always closed. Came in on Saturday 13th August and they've gone for an early lunch! Said it's open until 13:15. Got there 15 mins before and there already closed. Had to walk 30 mins to the next nearest post office

Great friendly service in one of the few post offices left in the country. Just remember that it closes for lunch and reopens after that.

A very short walk (and an even shorter drive!) from where I live, this particular Tesco Express is very handy to pick up a few things that are missing from my cupboard. If you are planning to make a nice meal and you have one vital ingrediant missing it's very handy to have a place like this really close by. It is bigger than you would think, and could definatley be classed as a mini-supermarket as they stock everything you could want. However, because it is a Tesco Express they don't really have much variety of the same produce so you will probabley have to buy what they stock, which can sometimes mean paying more than you woukd want to, but I guess that's what happens with convienience stores.

I quite liked this tesco express. It's postioning is weird, as it is almost in an island between two main(ish) roads, and it is deceptivley large. I probabley like it more then Carly as the last time I went in they had all the Easter chocolates inside, including tesco's own minty eggs, (the size of cream eggs with the filling of an aero and a truffle!) as well as the usuall selection of easter goodies! Granted these Express stores are always more expensive than the larger supermarkets as they don't have so much of their own produce on sale, but they are helpful if you don't want to make the journey all the way to a supermarket.

This has to be the worst Tesco Express I've encountered. Not only does it offer shamefully little in the way of goods, but it possesses a strangely hostile vibe. This probably has a lot to do with the security guards on the door, who clearly delight in intimidating the store's customers with their thorny stares. Furthermore, with regard to alcohol, this store provides a shockingly poor selection of beverages and what it does provide is sorely overpriced. I could go on, but I think you get the gist...

Have you ever seen Armando Iannucci's 'Time Trumpet'? There was a great sketch which foresaw a time when Tesco was so rampant that it invaded Denmark, with stores on legs with lazer guns blazing running across the country then dumping themselves on the ground. I'm unfortunate enough to have one of these sitting outside my house, and as much as I dislike the place, I do seem to go there rather a lot. Unfortunately there aren't any great alternatives without driving, which is a shame as being a Metro store it's not even particularly cheap (it doesn't really do their own make brands or many specials offers). The staff are friendly enough, I suppose, and there's a post office inside, but it's a store I use somewhat grudgingly.
