Really poor service, my access is blocked for 2 weeks now, as the fraud (aka slug and incompetent) team is reviewing the transaction, which have been confirmed by the account holder at the branch and over the phone it is a legit transaction, which confirms you are not free to move your fiat wherever you want. Avoid opening an account on Santander

Made the application for a new account incredibly inconvenient, where because I had an old account with different info years ago, I needed to PRINT OUT a change of info pdf form, (you can't fill it in digitally, because the entry boxes are protected), fill in details about my old account that I obviously no longer had (the account was closed years ago), then POST IT, in order to access my account. Or, I could GO TO MY BANK, which there are very few off in my area, the nearest one being a 30min drive away.Terrible bank, terrible investment in their IT services.Basically an online application is not online if you were an old customer. You'll either need to go to you bank, or print out pdfs and go to your post office.A terrible system considering we're in 2023.Finally, this must be a contravention of GDPR. The old account was closed. They had no need for my old info anyway.

You Blocked me,I emailed you in the specified time to say NO I didn't want my acct blocked,you chose to do it anyway,I came to your English bank from n.z, to learn I had been blocked. I asked to close my account down,even asked if it can't be closed can I apply for a card,or draw money,NO,I'm on internet banking with you,though can't transfer any of my money out,only put in,all the documents I showed you,UK passport,UK and NZ driving licence,in my marriage name and (nee),utility bill,name change ,marriage cert, to no avail,you kept asking for something else, felt like I was going round in circles,after speaking with the bank manager the day before,he said I just need passport and utility bill,I said so if I provide these then that is all I need,yes,! The following day I provided this to another staff member as he was busy with someone,never did see him,karma!,I said to the female staff who tried to help me thankyou,and that I've had enough of this they can keep my money,this as been ongoing for years,and causing me too much stress,no matter what I said or do,you come up with you need some other document, when trying to sell my shares my broker had to keep resending the same documents over and over,she said she's never known a bank like it.The phone calls I made from NZ only to be given the silent treatment,had to keep asking are you there,her reply I'm still looking,a friend said they have literally 'STOLE' your money,your right I replied, didn't think of it that way at that time.I'm just one of many people who's been in this situation/blocked,I feel absolutely gutted, frustrated,annoyed,very disappointed,messed around,disrespected,it's been going on for year's,surely you can go into your system and find me,and stop wasting my time and energy, I'm not the criminal here.

I?ve had an acc with santander for years and service has always been excellent. Today, for the very first time I felt humiliated by the way a staff at the counter spoke to me after I told her I wanted to scan some documents for an ISA account im opening. I asked her if she could help scan my bank statement for me alongside my id and she looked at me in a way that seemed like i didn?t make sense. I was then told to ?show some id to begin with in a rude tone( which obviously i was about to do after stating my purpose of coming in today)?. She then said they dont send/print out bank statements and i replied ?im sure you do have that service right??. After awhile she said ?oh u have an account with us and u want us to scan that for ur application??Thats exactly what i said at the beginning. Additionally i cant be coming into Santander asking for them to print out a Barclays Bank statement can I?My feedback to the bank is to please ensure your staffs are respectful to your customers especially when some of us are investing a huge some of money into the bank. Its very humiliating for a customer to be spoken to like that.

They provide fantastic service in a very friendly and calm environment. But cash machines are very very slow to deposit or to take away money.

I was struggling with the banking app, the staff were efficient and helpful, especially a petite Welsh woman who was efficient and explained everything clearly.I saw her look after other customers with the same patience and kindness.

Today I went to deposit money with my girlfriend, but I left for ten minutes because of something . Afterwards, my girlfriend sat on the sofa and waited for me after depositing the money, and was then rudely asked if there was any business to go through. She answered no, so she was invited out by the staff. When I returned to the bank, my girlfriend was already angry and left. I feel incredible, we are all Santander customers, and even the waiting will be driven out. completely lose hope

I had a very pleasant experience opening my bank account here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. As an international student, I was able to open an account with no hassle.Glad I chose this bank and branch as I tried others banks and found this one to have the best customer service.
