Policies and procedures felt like they were followed ? but I didn?t feel there was any effort to build a rapport. I ended up leaving without new glasses despite having a new prescriptionI made the appointment online, for two days later ? got a call the next day to confirm ?I was still coming?, upon arrival the first thing the receptionist said was ?are you on benefits?, no effort to make conversation and could have phrased the question ?do you normally pay for your eye test?.The initial ?tests? were conducted by a man who was clear in his direction and we completed them quickly, but made no effort to be friendly (beyond doing his job).The optician was friendly (although didn?t introduce herself by her name), and made me feel like she was quickly and competently making her way through the questionnaire. Once complete she directed me to look at frames, I selected a frame (very quickly as I always do) and waited for an assistant to approach ? they didn?t, so I moved towards the till, and waited and waited for approx. 5 mins whilst staff seemed to be making themselves look busy.When I was seen, I asked for ?2 pairs of these (handing over my selected frames), one with ultra thinning and one with reactions? ? the lady calculated the cost on some rough paper (£350), at which point I decided I would just pay the £35 sight test and get my glasses elsewhere. I felt she made no effort to run though offers, discuss options / alternatives (cost wasn?t a factor, I just wanted to feel valued).I was then directed to the waiting area for ?more tests? where the man who?d conducted the initial tests was waiting ? this time he asked me to put my chin on a machine which blows air into my eyes ? no further explanation of what the test was supposed to achieve and no direction of what he wanted from me (except ?open wide?), after a while he left in a strop and said to his colleague ? ?I only gone one?.

Very rude staff over the phone. I called and explained my situation as clearly as I could, asking for an appointment as my GP reccomended an eye test for medical reasons ASAP. Gave all of my personal details to find out they had little to no availability at the time. Would've been useful to know this before sharing everything over the phone! Pointless exercise

Went for a routine eye test - Friendly, informed staff. Efficient yet thorough examination. All questions and concerns addressed. No wait time. Inexpensive. Consistent experience having had previous eye-tests there too.

Nice welcome but brief verbal explanation of my condition and no written summary naming my condition. Despite being charged as ?private? patient. Altogether unsatisfactory. First and last visit to Specsavers. Definitely would not recommend. Regular routine checkup at Boots soon. This will be free of charge and I expect will provide more clear explanation of my condition and possible action.

After years of trying, these fabulous people have guided me to being a contact lens wearer. They were SO patient and helpful. I will be forever grateful for being freed from glasses. Zoe, Victoria and Nichola? in particular. Sorry if I forgot anyone, (I'm old! ).

Zoe the optician, was excellent in her approach and professionalism. However Martin was rude in both his manner and approach to the customer.Clearly put out and belittling to my wife. Very unimpressed with his service.

Frustrating to be given an appointment at 9am, but the store only opens at 9:03 and then I'm seen at 9:10. The actual appointment is great and the optician is really helpful, but when taking time out of work and needing to get to work afterwards I would appreciate them being on time especially as the first appointment of the day.

Brilliant experience. I hadn?t had my eyes tested in a while and was a bit nervous. As it had been so long. If you do get worried, anxious or scared please ask for Zoe. She was amazing and so reassuring. She just made it more fun and explained things throughout.I hope she is still there in 2 years time.Also turned out I needed glasses so I had help from a young girl there who helped me choose glasses to suit my face. Unfortunately I couldn?t remember her name. However all the staff there were really nice.Thank you all
