A tiny screw came out of my glasses a few days before Christmas and a lens fell out. I popped into Specsavers wondering if there was time to have them sent off for repair before Christmas. The nice chap in the shop (wearing an excellent festive jumper) fixed them then and there, no fuss and no charge. Good to see such good customer service still exists. Thanks, Specsavers.

This is the beginning of a long and complex tale that began in 2020 in SpecSavers in Clifton. The optician said I had a lazy eye, which was news to me as I have been wearing glasses for 40 years, since I was a teenager, and no optician had ever mentioned that previously. The optician, crucially, had failed to identify cataracts, which had already been spotted by Vision Express some years earlier as having potential to cause problems in the future.By autumn 2020 they had reached a stage where they were impacting on my vision. However, I didn?t realise this at the time as I thought that cataracts were things that only elderly people suffered from so assumed I would be fine until say, retirement age. I didn?t know when I had my appointment with SpecSavers that cataracts had already made my eyesight a lot worse.I used the prescription given to me in Clifton to choose frames in Broadmead as there was more choice. This was when my problems really started. It took over 6 months, three separate eye tests and a lot of traipsing around picking up and dropping off glasses for reglazing before they finally diagnosed cataracts. I paid £500 for glasses that SpecSavers MUST HAVE KNOWN would not give me good enough vision to either read comfortably, use a PC for work or even drive safely because I had CATARACTS. They also even lost my second pair of glasses during one of the lockdowns.Thankfully cataracts now sorted, second one recently by the NHS after a gap of nearly two years between the ops due to SpecSavers Broadmead arsing me around that is another long story. So SpecSavers are probably fine for anyone with routine prescriptions but possibly dangerous for anyone with more serious eye problems. If they can?t identify cataracts bad enough to require removal, what else are they missing?

The team were super helpful and lovely - they fixed my glasses (for free) within 24 hours. A big thanks to Enrico especially for finding the matching replacement arm, even though my glasses were discontinued years ago.

GEORGE! What a helpful kind soul! Came in to collect glasses today after seeing George last week to return my new glasses as slight problem with the lenses and so saw another assistant today but George went out of his way and made sure I was happy with the newly done lenses even tho he was busy with another customer. But the fact he saw me remembered my issue and acknowledge me goes along way. Keep up the good work been a customer for a few yrs now and apart from a few little teething problems I would definitely recommend this store?.sadly tho I am sure on my next 2 yr check I will probably see new faces again! Good luck to George and the team if you do go on to pastures newRoni

The staff were really patient and understanding with my son and I today. My son is autistic and struggled to agree to the eye test. Everyone was really nice and I didn't feel judged by how I was trying to manage his behaviour. This is not my first visit and the staff have always been second to none. Thank you so much ??

Was very pleased with the service received. The optician identified I needed a referral to the A&E dept of the eye hospital & wrote a referral letter which saved me a considerable wait at the hospital . I was made to feel comfortable during the tests I had in the office at Specsavers & would recommend them.
