Ok, so I went along, looking forward to a lovely dinner. I was looking forward to the Turkey. My heart sank when I queued for the carvery. The turkey was mostly a dried up looking carcass, the pork and gammon looked equally as dry the lamb looked nice. Unfortunately for the person in front of me, they asked for turkey, and were served scrapping from the carcass. Luckily for me, they brought out a freshly cooked turkey crown! It was delicious.I went to choose my vegetables, but everything was yuck. Hard solid potatoes, all the other vegetables were dry and looked as though they had been there for hours. I chose best as I could, which wasn?t a lot, and I really do love all vegetables. Then I went to the gravy, put a couple of ladles over my dinner, and when I sat down to eat, the gravy was lukewarm.I left wishing that I hadn?t gone ?

Exactly what you would expect from a Toby carvery, great prices for decent (mostly) food, top tip though you can go back for more sides do don't feel the need to load up everything all at once! I made this mistake as I didn't realise you couldn't take leftovers home and felt terrible for wasting so much food. Also the woman who was serving us (unfortunately didnt get her name but an older woman with orangey blonde hair) was one of the most lovely waitresses I've ever had, she was such a sweetheart and really made our visit :) if any managers see this I hope you know who I'm talking about and give her a bonus or something hahaParking: There is a decently large car park but as we visited on a Sunday it was completely full, however after sticking around for 5 minutes some people left and we were able to get a spot.

There was a large group of us but only 4 people wanted starters. We waited a very long time for them. Carvery was missing several vegetables types, had to ask for gravy and cranberry sauce. Desserts took a long time to come out and were missing strawberries and sauce and honeycomb and we had to ask for it. Presentation of some desserts was totally lacking. Really couldnt recommend this place and would not want to go again.

We are Sunday regulars and have been for several years, which should tell you all that you need to know - great food, great service and always a friendly and professional team - it's not the cheapest carvery in Bristol, but you get what you pay for and that's excellent food and plenty of it.

We visited on a Sunday and hadn't booked so didn't think we would be able to eat - but the greeter said that we could have a table in the restaurant within 25 mins or eat in the bar area immediately. We opted to eat in the bar, which looked exactly like the restaurant anyway except you have to get your own drinks (no problem).Food was amazing and plentiful, all the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming and the bar area had plenty of seating. Perfect.

Wow this place has gone down hill! Rude manager who is even more rude on the phone when you call and try and ask for information. Meat is just full of fat and veg is cold and barely cooked! Also evidence of rat/mouse droppings recently. Absolutely disgusting. Needs sorting out and decent management fast, or will end up shutting down! We have cancelled our bookings for Christmas day due to the recent 1 star food hygiene rating and after speaking to Bath Council we will be taking it further to get our deposits back!

Disgusting! Unfriendly! Unprofessional! Dirty! Cold! We came here at around 5pm. We got seated at the table and our drinks orders taken, and was told to help ourselves to the carvery. In turn the 3 of us got our food. The chef serving us was polite, friendly and accommodating but that's where the good part ends! We started to eat our meals but noticed all the food was cold, even the food under the gravy! I told the waiter and said 'yes, there's problems with the heaters'. We thought fine, we'll give them the benefit of the doubt and they can sort the situation out and then we'll try again. By this point the staff were stopping others from getting food, the manager was shouting at the staff especially the kitchen staff (as the whole restaurant heard it). The restaurant was now filling up, some people were leaving and many complaints were heard. I went to the bathroom (very dirty and urine on floor in cubicles) and when I came back the whole restaurant was queuing for their food. My partner said whilst I was in the bathroom the manager came over and shouted to the restaurant that the food issue was now sorted and everyone can help themselves to a carvery. I asked the waitress why weren't first at getting our food seeing as we were waiting the longest as she shrugged her shoulders. I said 'were not staying and I'm not paying! She again, shrugged her shoulders and said to speak to the manager! Of this, I did! The manager said, if we wanted to stay she would push us to the front of the queue. I said that's not fair on the other people queuing, she said oh well! I said I didn't like the atmosphere or her attitude towards others and we were leaving. She simple said 'ok, pay for your drinks! I couldn't believe her attitude towards other people! My partner paid for the drinks as I wouldn't pay a penny for the experience we had received! The chef serving was the best thing in there! I have been to many Toby Carvery's over the years and this is the worst experience I have had! Totally put me off!

Absolutely shocking ?No meats as specified, only beef which myself and my mom can not eat due to crohns disease, veg was absolutely shocking too, luke warm and hard, not cooked like that either, chef was apologising constantly and was very embarrassed to say the least. Beef was absolutely horrible as my other two guests commented, not your usual standards and expectations most definitely. Vegetables were horrendous, cauliflower cheese was so hard you couldn't cut it, red cabbage was like it wasn't even cooked! The stuffing was just a pile of uncut mess you had to tackle yourself, best part about the meal was the gravey !!!!!! Absolutely disgusting and it was a treat for our elderly parents of 80yrs, never again will I use your facilities and will not recommend this particular restaurant to anyone.Poor service and absolutely diabolical so called food, I mean sausages as a choice of meat! Really what's happened to the good old Toby carvery.....Dietary restrictions: Absolutely rubbish.

Visited on a Monday evening and it was quite busy, but our server Logan got us seated quickly and nothing was too much trouble, she even fetched us ice from the bar as the ice machine was not working, the meat was excellent and a delicious array of vegetables too, Logan was very professional and polite a real pleasure.

Very crowded we were too close to the table next to us. The table was unstable and kept slopping the drinks. The carver had no interest in his job or the customer even when they ran out of beef he gave us no information about if it would be back etc and to finish the ice-cream machine was broken.Parking: Parking mostly available but not always.

We travel all over the country with our football club & hopefully have a Toby carvery before the games .This was our first visit to this Toby , but everything seemed ? Luke warm ? ( no pun intended )The chef/server wasn?t the most happy chap , with the food of a bang average nature & getting it plated at just after 12pm on , you would have thought it would of at least be really hot . The veg , again very basic & not hot , so you?re hoping for ? the famous gravy ? to be piping hot ??very sadly no !5 in our party & each had the carvery , but nothing memorable about this outing .

Went last Tuesday at 6.30 pm. Me and my daughter fancied a nice carvery. Seated quickly and served immediately. That?s where the positives stops! The meat was just ok the Yorkshire puddings were flat and hard. The roast potatoes were Luke warm and hard the veg was also just warm coliflower cheese was rock hard. We sat and had our dinner and was quite disappointed so just asked for the bill. Once the bill was payed to my amazement a mouse ran past our table over to where the kitchen doors are! I immediately told our server that didn?t seem surprised by what I had just told her!
