Only a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of Bristol, with a bus stop that takes you there or anywhere further out.

I booked this hotel for 1 night and it did not begin well. The receptionist gave me the room number and key to the wrong, already occupied room. I had to explain and apologise to them why I had just entered their room - a major safeguarding issue. This was sorted out swiftly when addressed at reception but left a sour taste in my mouth. Our room was clean and modern, however both soap dispensers were empty. This meant we couldn't wash our hands or shower. Very disappointing.Overall location is good, a short walk to the city centre and parking is reasonably priced at £13 for 24 hrs.

Good location but hotel wasn?t great, The room was too small, mattress on the bed not comfy, cleanliness of the room wasn?t good. I asked for our room to be cleaned and replace the towels by the porter who was 2 rooms away, but he failed to do. 1 of our towels was dirty on arrival . The door key kept failing, had to keep going to reception to get it reset. The breakfast was good selection but the beans were in a cooking pot and were warm, the hash browns were hard and none tasty, overall not a clean hotel and definitely in need of updating.Rooms: not clean and in need of updating, towel wasn?t clean on arrival

We tried to dine in instead of going out, turned to be a big mistake.. we were the only people in the bar, and food took more than 45 minutes to arrive, and of course, it was bad... when we asked for cutlery, they told us, "Take it yourself," and when they served the food, they almost threw it at the table. If you are in the area, just go somewhere else to eat.

I booked this hotel because on their website it said they were newly renovated. I thought its would still be clean and decent. Nothing looked newly renovated to me tho. I know I can never stay for more than a night. Water in the shower was stagnant. (the most disgusting) The sheets had stuff on it like they were really, really old, so i had to lay on the duvet and used my jacket as a cover overnight. I could see the mattress cos the sheets were not laid properly. Would I go here again? Nop. Would I recommend it? Nop. I've stayed in other travelodge and they were pretty decent. This one was too hectic for me.Nearby activities: It's close to the city centre.

Save your money and stay elsewhere, small rooms, dirty rooms, heating that doesn?t work rockhard bed, lumpy mattress, Rockhard pillows. Shower loose shower pipe, loose door handle on the bathroom, Slow draining, water, unhelpful girls on Reception. Honestly add another 20 £30 and go stay in the Marriott. Complained three times to reception, they had no other rooms to move us to and the only thing they had to say was the beds are quite new no resolution no apology. Almost forgot to say two guys on the bar that Clearly never worked in a bar before and didn?t actually know what the measures were and just invented them instead, they invented the prices to go with it.

Booked a 2 nights stay for the 24-26th of December, I don't know where to start as there are just too many issues to address. Firstly, there was no bin in the toilet and kept having to go back and forth to the only trash can in the room. Secondly, The toilet sink was clogged from day 1 and would take a whole minute to drain. I was hardly in the room so didn't matter at the time, but it is still shows poor maintenance. Thirdly, on entering the room, it smelt like rank mouldy drain pipes, which could have had something to do with the actual clogging toilet basin episodes.Fourthly, they had a radiator which I set for 23 degrees, for whilst it was freezin winters outside, but it kept turning off.Fifthly, on the 26th morming, after a night out from celebrating Christmas and sleeping in, they decided to do a false fire evacuation, which went on for a good 8 minutes of constant wailing. I woke up with a start and asked the cleaning lady opposite what was going on and she said it was fake, but didn't encourage me to follow the drill. She herself stayed put getting on with her business, which was not a fine example to set. Anyway my sleep was all disturbed after that and throughout the rest of the day I was a walking zombie. Travelodge really need to be mindful for which days they do the testingswhich doesn't quite work, specially after an important event day like Christmas and people are having a lie in. The whole point is creating a wholsesome experience for their customers which they are failing to do in this site and it looks like no amount of reviews seems to change it.The icing on the cake was on checkout, I had to wait for my coach back to London, which was only due at 5pm, so hoping to store my bags in concierge, but alas they shut me down by saying they do not offer that. I have stayed in other Travelodges in the past, in different parts of the country and they all stored my bags till final departure or they should have this information posted clearly on their website. Overall, It was such a huge let down and If I knew this before hand, I would never have booked here, as there were loads of other options for these 2 nights. Imagine my plight and struggle on lugging my cabin bags across Bristol, climbing slopes, and uneven streets, as there was absolutely no public transport on boxing day. All demonstrates utter lack of care and thought for their customers and their feedback. They also have a car park but you have to pay £13 for a 24 hr parking and you pay for your WiFi where everywhere else you get it for free. I will never go back to this Travelodge and will never recommend others to do so.

The hotel receptionist informed me that they don't allow temporary storage of bags at reception after checkout, a service commonly offered by most hotels. Additionally, the morning fire alarm practice was disruptive, and a previous guest's review, expressing the same concern, didn't seem to be acknowledged despite the hotel's promise to address it. Moreover, the guest parking is not complimentary, and the steep decline at the entry caused damage to the underside of my car. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
