I have been coming to Hobs Amersham for years and have been noticing the decline for past year or so. I still stuck with it wishfully thinking things will change but they have only gone worse. Prices have been increased while the customer service and quality has gone down massively. I hated it the last time I was there for my regular colouring service. Very negative and unwelcoming atmosphere. Didn?t do the colour properly and left many greys. Massively dried my hair somehow. The lady who did my hair didn?t even bother checking after the wash whether I was happy. Not going back again!

First visit to this lovely salon today. I received a warm welcome by the reception. Kate did my hair, I had a cut and blow dry. She was very attentive and listened to me and my requirements. This salon has a great atmosphere. I loved the way Kate did my hair, I will be back!!!Service: Hairstyling

Oh wow such lovely staff from the minute you enter and nice atmosphere. I didn?t really know what I wanted and Lauren made such useful suggestions like how the cut would impact my highlights and what we should do today and the future. I?m so over the moon with my hair. Lauren took time to understand what I can do and how much time I want to spend daily and cut it accordingly. This is my new favourite hairdresser !

Hob Amersham used to be great. The customer service is abysmal. The managers are very arrogant and they shouldn?t be as they are not good at what they do.Some of the staff are very rude and not appropriate and the quality of their work is sub par.The salon feels very basic, dated and the staff are awkward.Furthermore they recommended a treatment that was not suitable.It is an unpleasant salon, they don?t do decent work. I would avoid.

The staff was kind and helpful and the hairdresser that cut my hair was friendly and listened to my requests, however, I went in for a hair cut and blow dry which but it cost over £100 which I thought was over the top and certainly not worth it for a haircut.

Absolutely amazing service. My 8 year old daughter had her hair cut today for the first time in a proper salon. She had a lovely experience. Washed, cut and dryed. Special thanks to Georgia for spending time and effort cutting my daughter's hair. We both felt very welcomed and comfortable in salon too. My daughter is super excited for her next appt ?

Being new to the area and having read the reviews, I decided to make an appointment at this hair salon for a Balayage. I was told I would need to come in for a patch test for the colour, and advised to arrive 10 mins early. On the day I came in early and was told to wait, I took a seat and patiently waited. More than half an hour passed after the time of my appointment and I decided to ask the receptionist why it was taking so long (I had taken time off work early that day to attend this appointment). I was told someone would see me soon, at which point I said I was only here for a patch test and didn't understand why someone couldn't do this for me as it was a less than 5 min job. The receptionist was surprised and did not know that I was here for a patch test and thought I was there for a haircut, clearly they hadn't taken any notes of my appointment, and a lack of internal communication meant I had waited and wasted my time for no reason. I was about to leave the salon at which point a hairdresser came to see me, she wasn't apologetic or friendly and simply said "what is it you want done?" I explained a balayage and she didn't look too bothered, she didn't ask many further questions. The patch test was carried out and I left the salon feeling upset and unwelcome. My next appointment was booked in and I was told previously as a new customer I would receive 25% off my balayage. I called earlier today to confirm this and was told the balayage costs £125 and I would get 25% off meaning it would cost me £99. I don't know where they got this figure from as 25% off would total just over £93. I didn't want to argue about this and instead have ended up cancelling my appointment. I will take my business elsewhere.

Had the most amazing experience with their senior stylist Laverne. I had let my hair grow out and had suffered some severe over bleaching so decided on a complete change of style. Laverne was very happy to look at some pictures I bought along and then took me through her vision for my new look. She took the time to listen to want I wanted and then gave me a beautiful creative cut. I absolutely would recommend Laverne to anyone looking for a complete restyle she?s professional and friendly and actually listens to the client. Excellent service with well thought out protective measures! Jess did a great job with the cut - delighted! One point is that they currently do not take any cash!!
