Ercol outlet. Good place to see the range of ercol furniture. "outlet" refers to limited pieces only and far fewer items than a few years ago. To buy a new piece you need to go to a retailer.

Check the website for country of origin when purchasing. Have a selection of Rimini furniture purchased over last 6 years. The older furniture has high quality oak carcassing on the drawers, the newer furniture is softwood carcassing with oak fronts. This is not wearing as well. Drawers do not run smoothly so have had to improve this myself, sanding and polishing runners. Reasonably good furniture still, just not up to the standard of materials or craftsmanship it was. Guessing the originals were made in UK and the newer products say they are made in China/Turkey. Either way, quality is poorer than it used to be.

Good quality furniture that is well designed and should last both practically and stylistically. Staff friendly, helpful without pushing. Not cheap but worth it.

I wrote the enclosed letter some weeks ago and no one has bothered to reply. It says it all as far as I am concerned.....'I was disgusted by the reaction of the person answering your telephone at Ercol, when I rang on 1 February 2023. To say she was unhelpful would be a masterly understatement. She challenged me and made me feel as if I was completely unreasonable when I asked for help in securing another 3 cantilever chairs to go with the two I purchased as recently as 5 December ? less than 2 months before. You would never think I was one of your loyal customers attempting to buy the very expensive dining chairs you were selling then. In fact, she was so rude to me I was in tears about it. She was dreadful to the point that I did not complain about it at the time because I thought she might prevent me buying the one remaining chair I could locate which you had in your outlet shop.She said ?you have two chairs. Why do you want any more?? after I told her I was moving into a small flat. She said ?they are big chairs -I thought you said it was a small flat?. How dare she? How can you have someone like that as your customer relations contact speaking to your customers like that? I asked her if you (Ercol) would change the fabric on the chair if I bought it so it would match my other two, but she said no it was in the outlet shop as it was discontinued and I had to buy it as it was!Well, I did buy it! I have tried countless of your retailers up and down the country to try and find others, without success. Eventually, I found another on EBAY which I have also purchased. Once the two arrived I arranged for them to be recovered in cream leather to match the other two I purchased. It was an extremely costly exercise.I think I spoke to most of your retailers without success. Most were extremely helpful, but one recommended I spoke to Larry. I did that. Larry, despite his promises then and subsequently, never came back to me.If this is how you want to be seen by your loyal customer base, I very much doubt you will be in business for much longer. You are going the best way to trash the reputation of the Ercol brand which was so respected for many years. You may be interested to know I made my first Ercol purchase in 1966! I consider it my great misfortune to have fallen ?in love? with the chairs I bought from your company this time and I will never buy from you again. I hope your lady was being deliberately offensive, I should hate to think she could not help it.Ercol needs to understand it takes years to build up a good reputation, but it can be reversed much more quickly. This lady and Larry are obviously making their valuable contributions to your demise.'Service: Furniture design

I purchased a blue Von Bench through the ercol outlet. It took ages and a world of complexity to arrange delivery. Once delivered, the bench arrived smashed. It wasn't packaged with any care whatsoever (i.e. just the bench in a big cardboard box with nothing to protect it in transit). Ercol assured me that it could be repaired, so I arranged a collection (involving weeks of back and forth emails). Once the courier finally collected and delivered (again, a process that took many weeks), I was informed by Ercol the bench couldn't be repaired, and that they couldn't replace like for like. I'm not sure why this judgment couldn't have been made earlier and avoided a world of disappointment. Saddened as this is a company that our family once held in high regard, but no longer. I can't see us using them again

Our Marinello sofas have seat cushions that squashed and creased awfully within the first 10 minutes of use. They were inspected within a week of being delivered and found to be unsatisfactory (ie very poor quality). These sofas are sold as tailored and are supposed to be of a high quality. Also, there were material faults in the centre of one of the seat back cushions.We are currently awaiting replacement inners and cushion cover but having read so many negative reports are dreading the replacement inners being just the same. We have ourselves looked inside many different sofa cushions in various stores and ercol really do seem to have the poorest quality foam, ie it can be squeezed to nothing by one old lady with arthritic hands!!!! The foam on our larger sofa cannot even cope with an 8 stone adult! We are so, so disappointed. These were going to be our sofas for life but we fear they may barely last a year.Hopefully ercol will do something positive to improve the cushion inners on their sofas. There are so many poor reviews on different sites about ercol poor quality cushions you would think that they would try to do something about this. However, it raises the question, does ercol care? We have now been waiting 8 months for satisfactory sofas and as yet no one from ercol has ever contacted us directly. We so wish we had read all the negative reviews. Turned away at the door during opening hours after driving to see furniture at the showroom. Told by staff that viewings are now by appointment only now. No explanation why but covid is no longer a valid excuse. They weren't busy and could easily have shown us around (and likely made a sale). I got the impression staff couldn't be bothered and wanted to leave early as it was Friday afternoon. Disappointing.
