Honestly don't understand how this place is only 3 star we did a massive order a couple of days before Xmas the food came very fast and very hot and also very tastyAlso in store the people who work here are very friendly and always have a chat with youLovely place

Excellent food as I have to go through Newmarket road so I always try to pick something on the way pizza is always nice and hot .The service today was exceptional as I would put things in context waiting time was less then 8 minutes for a large pizza keep up the good work papa

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Worst customer service I have ever received. Our food took over 2 and a half HOURS to arrive, obviously stone cold and solid, the pizza toppings hardened on top of the sad sprinkling of cheese. The tracking app / link is a complete lie, I?m pretty sure they update it as ?delivered? on purpose while knowing full well this is nowhere near the case. When we rang them to ask about the tracking issues the man on the phone said this ?happens sometimes? and judging by the reviews it?s constant. After about an hour we called again about the whereabouts of the order and the same man told us the delivery driver was in an ?accident? (surely he should not be working after this if it?s the case, but I?m certain it was a lie) and told us the food was on its way in 10-15 mins then abruptly hung up. He clearly didn?t want to hear any of it and this was repeated 2 more times before our food finally arrived 2 and a half hours later. The delivery driver seemed nice enough but as stated in other reviews, had asked us to come and get the items from a car park not near the house instead of delivering to the address. I don?t know how they manage to stay in business they really couldn?t have done a worse job start to finish.

Absolutely furious! Booked a last minute hotel stay as I?m working 12 hr back to back shifts. Order pizza for an easy life turned out to be a night mare. Ordered at 8pm, waited two hours for my order, was told it was out for delivery for over 45 minutes when it?s 6 minutes away. Called 26 times with now answer. My tracker updated at 21:11 to say my order had arrived when it didn?t and I was calling for a further 30 minutes to chase it. Got through to an EXTREMELY rude man who said my order was out for delivery when it wasn?t. I had to drive down there. They refused to give me a refund, hung up the phone on me and when I asked what was going on was lied to and told they don?t have any drivers and can?t do delivery. Funilly enough my driver called me as I was driving there with my order that I was told wasn?t even ready, and the driver said it was quiet tonight and they have enough drivers the staff are just rude, slow and not clean and that they have issues very often. Two and a half hours for a pizza that?s 6 minutes down the road. I know it?s only a food order but when your business concept is designed for people like myself who work long awkward hours or people that can?t be bothered to cook, it?s supposed to be ?the easy option? and that?s what we want. We all understand things happen, systems go down or your short staffed, but just call your customer and explain that, I could just have ordered to collect, don?t lie and then be rude and hang up when it took you over 30 minutes of consistent calls to even answer. Then wait 2.5 hours wait at the end of a long day with unhelpful and rude staff. Rant over ?

Nice pizza but the worst service you'll ever receive.On average, you will wait around 2 hours for a pizza.If you're really lucky, it will be hot!?(But you have to be REALLY Lucky)They won't stock the sides or desserts that you want so don't have your heart set on anything in particular as it's generally pot luck as to what you will receive in it's place.(With no offer of a refund or option to choose an alternative before they deliver.)Then, just before you get hold of a stone cold pizza, with a random bag of stuff that you didn't order, after nearly 2 hours,......You have some cheeky (not in a cute and fun way) Peas taking joker, ring you up and tell you he's outside.Not at your door though, sat in a car outside in a car park, nowhere near your front door.I wouldn't pay for delivery if I knew I had to collect it!?To top it off, the tracker lies to You, much like the staff if you call to see where your 1hr, hour and a half, 2 hour mystery pizza that keeps being promised is!?Like I said, nice pizza (when it's hot) but the service is terrible.Pretty sure they've even left a fake review on here too, saying the opposite of everything I've just said!?Sorry papa John's, you've just lost a customer.

This place used to be quite quick and had friendly service. Last two orders took an incredibly long time both pick up and delivery.Only one guy working in the shop. I think I?ll have to move on to Domino?s!

If you're going through the reviews trying to figure out whether things have gotten better, they haven't. Placed an order at 7pm, for delivery 2 miles away. It is literally a 10min drive. Arrived at 9.30.Absolutely unacceptable and not recommended. Amazing how every single delivery service we have gotten aside from Papa John's has taken less than 45min AT MOST. Expecting a full refund from this appalling service with the current record in Cambridge for the longest delivery time.Total time; 2h30min delivery for a branch 10min away. If your excuse is lack of drivers, stop accepting orders.

Place is getting worse. Waited an hour and a half. 2nd time in a few weeks have have to call to see where it was. When it arrived it was cold. I get a pizza here every Friday at £30 a pop. Going to try dominos from now on. You had your chance papa johns. Pity as the pizza is nice when it arrives hot.

I ordered at 3:45, for a 5:15 delivery. Did not happen. The tracker is absolutely useless as it stated at 5:20 I was "enjoying my pizza". I called at 5:30, to no avail. Store manager did not have a clue where their driver was, how to fix things. Called again at 5:45, got told to wait. They hung up no me after 5 minutes. Called again, no answer. Called again at 5:55, again, no joy, no clue what was wrong, where driver was. Pizza's arrive finally at 6:05. Cold, flat, dried out. I now remember why I only order from here once a year. It takes a year to forget the last bad experience. Worst service in all of Cambridgeshire.

Repeatedly Lied About Order Status, Refused Refund So They Could Still OrderCalled about 5 times to cancel my order. They refused, saying it was on the way or had already been delivered - Then kept hanging up after being challenged... Sometimes just placing the phone and walking away!Eventually they asked me to email, but by that time the order had come (2 hours late, and cold) so it seems to be some tactic. Utterly shameful.

I have ordered from this specific Papa John's Pizza 3 times and all the 3 times they have delivered my order on time and the food was not cold. The pizza and the sides have been really tasty and I feel this place has really turned it around in the past 3 months or so. I am really glad that I can enjoy Papa Johns the way I used to as a child after so many years. Thank you Papa John's New Market Road, Cambridge for this.Vegetarian options: The Greek pizza and the garden pizza with garlic stuffed crust is really awesome.

Papa Johns has always had quality food. But this specific store in Cambridge always delivers their food cold and stale, and with toppings missing. On top of that, it takes forever for them to deliver. Roughly 2 hours, when I?m barely a 15 minute drive from their store.Their customer service is poor, they are rude, blunt and they will constantly cut you off/hang up when you are talking to them. After an hour and a half, they hadn?t even made my food, but they offered me a small drink as if that would make up for their poor service and quality of food. I hope to get a full refund, and at this rate, I doubt I?ll ever order from them again.

Had to wait 2 hours for food. Tracker said it was delivered for 1h30 before it arrived. Spoke to several employees who either hung up after I asked where my order was, or told me it was five minutes away. Food is completely cold now. Not blaming any one employee in particular, and some on the phone were polite, but think this branch needs some serious help. Will be sticking to Domino?s now!
