Very bad luck running into this store, humiliating cashier. I was visiting a friend in Cambridge and wandering around in this area. I entered this store our of curiosity about the slogan "support local". All the clothing are super old and dirty, I needed a sweater and was not familiar with this area, so I ended up picking a few super old sweaters--not cheap. When I paid at the cashier, I realized that I left the clothe I tried in the changing room, of course I would give them back. I asked the cashier was I supposed to give the clothes to her or I should put back or it's ok I leave there since I was in a rush, if not, I will out them back. This woman started a big drama by speaking to me in an ugly tone, she said, "where are you from? You can never leave clothes there, what if somebody steal them? You cannot do that anywhere, maybe you can do that somewhere else, but not in this country! This is the norm here!" Then she told me what people do in stores, in an arrogant tone, like I was just born. I told her, I just asked her what's better to do in this situation, I did not need a lesson from her. I've been all over the world and seen many situations, she does not need to make a drama from this tiny thing. She started to tell me more what I should do should not do in this country. I put back all the clothes, and I told her I felt very uncomfortable of the way she talked to me, and I wanted to return the clothes, she said it's not refundable, and she started to yell, "I don't care you feel uncomfortable! Just go!" What's what SHE DOES IN THIS COUNTRY, how polite. What a stupid and outrageous woman to run this charity store! She is shaming British culture and spirit by showing her ugly attitudes and manners. I suggest this association remove her from the store service.
