First time visiting this travelodge for a trip to Cambridge for the weekend. The location was great, only an 8-10 min drive into the main city which made it easy to get taxis/Ubers if we wanted to.Theres a good amount of parking there, but it can get full quite quickly and we did have to scramble for a space on a couple of the evenings. The room was lovely - pretty standard Travelodge room, but very clean and presentable, and we had no issues. The only main improvement I?d say is there wasn?t anywhere to u pack anything except an open wardrobe with 4 hangers. We needed some shelving or storage to put things really, so had to live out of our bags. There were building works going on at the time, but we weren?t disturbed at all. No noise issues from the main road and our room was right next to it.

A student dorm is better than this. It's not too much to ask to have soap in the bathroom, a clean shower, and colours that match in the room, but we didn't have any of those. It was noisy all night and I didn't get any sleep on the hard bed. The only good thing I can say is that the people at front desk were friendly. This is not a hotel, it's a hostel.

The rooms are well equipped and the price is quite good. The breakfast is worth paying for, it is the typical English buffet breakfast. The only con is that internet access is charged outside of the nightly rate.

The travel lodge was what you can expect from a two-star hotel, had everything necessary except from a blow dryer (we had our own), room was small but enough for overnights. The bathroom doesn't have a wall plug, only for shavers. There isnt a wardrobe but a few coat hangers are available for dresses etc. The bed was large enough and comfortable.Walkability: I dont think it makes sense to walk around the area as its a housing district. We always took a cab to the city center. There is a Tesco nearby for late night cravings.Food & drinks: We had breakfast included, its a buffet for classic English breakfast with eggs, sausages, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns and of course, baked beans. They had pancakes and cereal available as well as coffee&tea options. Can't complain about it, it was enough food and tasted okay.
