I had the scallops for starters which were the highlight of the meal, served on black pudding. The mains were good, I had the pie of the day and I felt the mash let it down a little, but the rest was amazing. I would reccomend ordering the pork scratchings for the table .
The Cock in Hemingford Grey is a quaint country pub and restaurant close to Huntingdon and Saint Ives. Awarded Cambridgeshire Pub of the Year 2019, the pub serves local real ales and cider made in the village as well as a range of gins, cocktails and wines by the glass. The restaurant specialises in modern British food, sausages, a fresh fish board and serves roasts on Sunday lunchtimes. This gastro pub is easily accessible from Cambridge via the A14 and a lovely riverside walk from neighbouring village, Hemingford Abbots, and Houghton Mill.
