Friendly staff. Room and bedding cleanTowels fluffy and fresh. Family room was good for a stop off if no thrills required. Has a vending machine in reception area.Seemed to be more places available to choose from to eat on other side of road but you can't walk straight over there due to road layout.

1) The rooms were too hot without the heating being on.2) The floors were all poorly fitted and squeaking constantly. Not just my room but the room above. (Not good when your trying to sleep)3) Externally there were rats running around the back of the building. (Did not want to leave my windows open). Had I have done it was a choice of crane fly invasion from the fields, or a potential for a rewrite of one of James Herbert's "The Rats" horror novels.4) Rooms at the front are effected by the noise from the M11. Arguing Couples and noise from Herbies Diner and the local car clubs attending to show their cars before wheel spinning down the duel carriageway alongside the M11.5) The only positive was the rooms were cheap and clean. Staff were all very friendly.

It is what it is.No frills.Just a warm dry place with a bathroom to spend the night. No other facilities. No bar, no restaurant no cooking facilities like micro wave.No fridge, so you can't keep any fresh food. There is an American diner on the same site but if you don't want expensive burgers then your only other option is to drive about 8 miles to find something to eat or drink.OK for a very short stay if you have to, but I would not recommend an extended stay.On the positive site, the place was dry, warm, clean and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent BUT NO CLEAR SIGNAGE FROM BAR Hill to Travelodge itself cannot be seen in the dark.I live at Bar Hill and me and a friend stayed for two nights. Both times had difficulty getting back from our outings locally on right road to Travelodge. There needs to be huge signage like Boxworth and Cambridge Services.Only complaint otherwise excellent.Staff very very friendly and helpful.Very very clean bathroom and room.Thoroughly recommended apart from the signage off the A14,A1307.Excellent value for money.

I?m currently homeless and was placed here for temporary accommodation for 1 week only.I can honestly say all the staff have been amazing. They?ve been polite, helpful and just exactly what I needed during my current situation.I unfortunately had to leave after 1 week due to the council no longer willing to offer me accommodation. So I?m back on the streets.Massive thank you to Angela who not only spoke with me and listened to me when I had a bit of a breakdown to her, but she also helped me by calling the council on my behalf to see about extending my stay as well as allowed me to stay beyond the checkout time so that I was safe for as long as she could.Need more people like her in this world.I hope Travelodge recognise what an amazing staff team they have here and reward them as such ??Thank you again to everyone here ????

Staff are very nice, make you feel welcome, sadly there is nothing around, but it's a nice quiet place for a good night's rest.

Shocking!
The rooms are big and the staff are polite, but that's what the stars are for. Cleanliness was okay, the aesthetic of the building and surrounding area is horrendous. It honestly appears to be a place you can pay by the hour. Stay in a local bnb, it would be cheaper, cleaner and more comfortable.

I was very aprensive about staying here after looking on Google maps to see the garage and resterant adjacent had closed down, and the site looked a bit derelict, but coming in and checking in with a very friendly and helpful member of staff it all came apparent, rooms are fresh and spacious with free wi-fi, Freeview TV and tea and coffee, it lacks a bar and restaurant but if you nip about 10 mins through the industrial estate behind you find a pub called the fox and also Tesco Extra, great value for money, definitely stay here again if up this way.

Just what we needed. Helpful staff too. Because of the building works going on at the garage nextdoor, people may think that the Travelodge is closed too, especially as the Travelodge sign is not lit up at night and you easily pass by the closed-looking entrance. I just think you may miss out on customers the way it is now.
