Hotel is in process of being refurbished so dont know how rooms are! Lovely location near the beautiful river in the lovely town of St Ives.

This place is a complete dump. Amazed it?s even open. Also never ever use the car park even if you?re going into the town for a while. I have previously and have always paid for a ticket yet I got a demand for £100 saying I?d parked there and hadn?t paid! I tried to appeal but it was my word against theirs and I couldn?t do anything. Blatant robbery. Never again

Staff very pleasant and helpful. Due to ongoing building work the dinner menu was limited to a very limited choice of pizza or pizza!!!!! Some disgraceful behaviour from guests arriving at 2.50 a.m. beating, banging, kicking on a door to be admitted, sufficiently violent and loud to shake the walls of our room. Where was night security??

Owner saying that we are exaggerating the circumstances? saying that we were trying to access room before paying? we had actually been checked in already in the afternoon, had been into rooms, and then had to get two disabled people into town as there was no restaurant, which was odd as on the ad even now they are still advertising evening meals.on return we werent allowed past reception without paying in full, we had already been called 4 times previously to ask for prepayment. As he says booking. Com explain the terms and conditions, which on our booking were pay at property, and book an evening meal at premises.On his reply he says the restaurant is only open in evenings. It was a Saturday evening. At least Fawlty towers was funny..

Absolutely disgusting customer service from the owner Ravi. He contacted me via Email, not even a courtesy call to say that a booking I had made through wowcher for my mums birthday was cancelled days before they were due to arrive. When I called to speak to someone regarding this they said they were closing for 3 months due to renovations, the receptionists were not the nicest , and offered nothing in exchange after explaining the situation.

Bit dated but currently under renovation. Staff were all polite and helpful. Nice views and drinks on river. We we in executive suite which was huge. It was very quite and we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was 10pounds extra p.p which was really nice. Will stay here again when it's been renovated. ?

Seriously run down and no longer the glamour's spot for a wedding or mooring a boat for the weekend. The place looks closed with all the whitewash on the windows and draw curtains in all the rooms. The once pristine car park is 3/4 over grown

The hotel is being modernised and therefore not fully opened.Parking was confusing as two different members of staff have conflicting information.The room was modern and roomy and the bed comfy.However, the bathroom fan was not working and there were no glasses to have water in the night.Breakfast was ok but I had asked for skimmed milk the night before and at breakfast the girl looked surprised to be asked, despite the order going in 12 hours before.Had I known I could have popped out to buy some and then been able to enjoy my breakfast with a drink.The staff try hard but appear a little overwhelmed by the task ( both reception staff and breakfast). A very friendly bar maid though who made it all better.

Prior to the visit I checked on trip advisor and google for the reviews and it seemed mixed to me. I booked via wowcher and arrived a little past 4 to check in. There was some confusion as our roomwas mistakenly assigned to someone else luckily this was sorted and our room was of a really good standard. I enjoyed the stay, it was a pleasant place and I would highly recommend it.

Lovely riverside location, horrible place to stay. Breakfast is very poor and takes ages to be served(even drinks). Hotel is very tired and needs refurbishment. Rooms are quite spacious, but needs deep clean, same as windows and showers which hadn't a good clean for a while. Not worth the price.

I can't speak for the hotel but we ate lunch here a week ago. There was no menu and no formal way of telling prices. We ordered a "burrito" and a pizza- the burrito was closer to a scrawny wrap for £6, the pizza was ok. There was only 1 wine option, which turned out to be £7 and was served room temperature (I have had cheaper in a rooftop bar in central London). My partner's beer was flat, which at first the bar tried to argue against until we literally told them to try it themselves. The only good thing about this place was the setting, but the food and drink was so disappointing.

Went for drinks there. I wasn't drinking alcohol so asked for an orange juice. The girl serving outside went away for about five minutes to return to say they had none, asked for a non alcoholic beer, they had none so made do with a coffee. For a pint of Fosters and coffee came to £7.50 approx. The coffee was terrible, tasted like cheap instant you get from Poundland. My friends choice of beer was extremely limited too. The place looks completely run down. Windows could do with a clean and frames with a pick of paint and the inside bar could do with some redecorating. Just seems that they are doing everything on the cheap to make bigger profits. Real shame as it is in a very picturesque location!

Visited yesterday. Nice setting but took over 10 mins to even be acknowledged even though one of the staff was less than 10 feet away chatting to people on the next table from the time we arrived.. Ironically complaing to customers about the bad reviews being left. The young girls that ended up serving us were very polite and apologised for keeping us waiting. Overall not a great experience.

We went there for lunch last Saturday, got there early, ordered drinks, went to pay the waitress came over I scanned my card, but machine had run out of paper, so I asked if she has cancelled it, then she went off to change it, then came back and I scanned again all paid for no problem. Had a lunch of sorts, less said about that. The following Monday I found I had charged twice, so emailed the hotel, I had the receipt, still waiting for a reply. Before I get in touch with trading standards. So still waiting. Could be an honest mistake. So will wait!!!
