Went into the store over the week was overcharge for two drinks which should have been 76p each which totals to £1.52. I was overcharged £2.18 more which was £3.70 altogether. However when I brought this to the staff attention he tried to have a debate stating I was only overcharged by £1.09 which I?m not sure how he come to that figure. Another colleague came over who struggled to work out how much I was suppose to be refunded even though, I broke it down to them. When I was trying to explain he cut me up and said it?s sorted now( which found very rude) seemed more concerned about his staff feeling embarrassed as staff mentioned he couldn?t add. The staff couldn?t of handed the situation abit better. The staff who took over, tried to blame it on the computer system. Whether the computer system picked it up or not if you?re working in a shop should know the basic mathematical skills.Whilst in the shop I ask member of staff where the coffee jars where kept she pointed me in the direction of the costa coffee you make instantly??Apart from that, shop is abit on the small side, very crowed but good value for money.

My God! This is such a beautiful building. We were greeted by Gary at the reception door, he offered to take our luggage to the room and showed us around the building. We were staying in The Victorian Room and what a beautiful room it was. There was a bottle of complimentary sherry with chocolates, tea/coffee/ hot chocolate/ cappuccino/ selection of fruit teas/bottled water and biscuits. It even has Siri! A lovely deep roll top bath with fluffy towels and a superbly comfortable bed added to the luxury. I chose this B&B to stay as a birthday gift for my partner. I arranged with the hosts to have wine and Prosecco in the room. There is a wealth of information in the itinerary book in the room - equally knowledgeable was Gary as he filled us in about the history of the B&B and places to eat. I must mention that this beautiful gem won Four in a Bed during series two. We took a walk around the well-kept garden, it was such a delightful sight. We sat in the Tudor room for breakfast- we both ordered a full English and scoffed the lot along with toast and a lovely selection of mini jams/honey/marmalade. The food is sourced locally and we couldn?t eat it quick enough. We can?t fault this place, the hosts are fabulous and can?t do enough for you, we?re definitely going back soon ?

What a fabulous place! Simon and Gary are THE consummate hosts. We were made to feel extremely welcome throughout our 2 night stay. We stayed in Charles II suite which was just beautiful. Lovingly and exquisitely restored with a great eye for detail. Every home comfort you could wish for, including a variety of teas/coffees, sherry (!!), chocs and fresh milk (none of that UHT rubbish here). The bathroom was delightful and I took advantage of the sumptuous bath (sorry guys for using all the radox!). The huge bed was very comfortable with gorgeous pillows. Breakfast on both mornings was delicious. Fresh fruit juices, cereals/fruit and yoghurt on offer to start, followed by an extensive hot menu. Top quality ingredients, cooked and served to perfection. We both had full English day one and eggs Benedict/scrambled egg on toast day 2 (gorgeous eggs from the hens on site). If you're looking for a special time away and a real treat, then look no further. Hard work certainly pays off. Simon and Gary have their craft spot on. Quality will always be remembered when the price is forgotten. Kath & Dave xx

My husband and I recently stayed over at the charming, characterful Old Hall Country House during a visit to the Potteries in Stoke. Our host, Gary, was extremely welcoming and gave us a little tour of this fascinating house before showing us to our room. Everything was spot on. The room, the Victorian, was beautifully decorated and had absolutely everything one needed for a comfortable stay, including a small carafe of sherry (nice touch!). The bed was really comfortable and we wished we could have stayed longer?maybe next time! Thank you Gary and Simon PS Sorry we left our little take away from the Wedgwood tea room, but hope you enjoyed the contents ;)

We stayed at the Old Hall House because my husband was working in Stoke, its located in a charming village, near to a lovely little lake. The building is beautiful, and nothing is too much trouble for the marvellous host, Simon! Loved the room, loved the chickens and their excellent eggs, loved the welcome, loved the little touches, loved the local pub and the local Indian restaurant (apologies Simon, for the waft of garlic at breakfast!), loved it all, faultless!! Will def return. Considerate and welcoming, relaxing! Unexpected indulgence. Thank you.

We stayed at the Old Hall as part of our wedding day. Simon & Gary were kind enough to allow us to use the grounds as welcome drinks for our reception which was held on the same site at the Stables private dining venue. We then stayed overnight in their Charles II suite. This B&B is amazing, full of original features with still a height of luxury. Nothing is too much trouble. All of those who attended our drinks reception commented on the beauty of the gardens (which are huge!) The bathroom and the bedroom in Charles II are outstanding, bed is so comfortable, and was exactly what a tired bride needed after a full day on her feet. Breakfast was delightful, Simon is so welcoming and made us feel right at home. So funny, and genuinely full of warmth. Simon, you are absolutely amazing and you helped so much to make our day fantastic. We will 1000000% be back for our 1st wedding anniversary and hopefully all of those afterwards.

Stayed for 4 days for our 50th Wedding Anniversary in August. An absolutely beautiful property with excellent facilities . The breakfasts were outstanding as were the hosts Simon and Gary , for which nothing was to much trouble. The gardens were beautiful , split into large garden rooms, including an allotment area ! There are also numerous seats and benches dotted around the garden to take in the lovely garden views . Simon and Gary are the perfect hosts

My husband and I stayed here for one night, in the Queen Margaret room, in August 2022 on a very hot summer's day. The room was beautifully cool and it was absolutely gorgeous. It was immaculately clean and had everything that you would need. A great selection of hot drinks, a decanter of sherry (which we did not take advantage of, being rum and wine drinkers!), a massive and very comfortable bed, lovely walk in shower. Bathroom toiletries were great - lovely touch with cotton wool pads included too. The house has two acres of gardens which we were told we could explore - the gardens are absolutely stunning. We had a great game of boules out there too, with hens chasing the jack thinking it was food. We were just so lucky to be staying here in the height of summer. Gary & Simon are wonderful hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them, breakfast was very tasty too (guess where the eggs came from). The property is stunning. We went for dinner at the local Indian restaurant, just a couple of minutes walk away (the meal and service there were great), and after dinner we relaxed in the Orangery at the Old Hall Country House. Please do not hesitate to stay here - you will not be disappointed!

Seeing is believing! Not only has the property been beautifully refurbished, but all fixtures & fittings are of the best quality. Gary & Simon are perfect hosts with the friendly personal touch, who have obviously taken care to provide those important little touches which are so important. Beautiful period rooms, comfortable beds, amazing gardens - the place is like an oasis in the middle of the country! We shall return!!

We stayed in the Queen Margaret room in late July for two nights. The room was absolutely gorgeous and extremely comfortable. The Old Hall itself is a beautiful building, and kept to a very high standard. Everywhere is beautifully clean and the grounds and gardens are gorgeous. Breakfast is very good indeed; freshly made with high quality produce. Simon and Gary are amazing hosts, and even though you are in a very special, five star establishment, you are genuinely encouraged to feel at home.
