One of my favourite places in England. I lived near Knutsford when we lived in England and this hotel stands out. They were flexible with check in and this hotel has a lot of character and an interesting history. The rooms were well appointed and clean and the staff were flexible and professional. They were also informative re train schedules and Tatton Park. If you are tired of chain hotels without atmosphere I reccomend the Longview.

I stayed there for 5 months whilst consulting for an IT firm in Knutsford. The staff took such great care of me and catered to my needs. I was a night shift worker and as such made odd requests like 4 AM breakfast, midday breakfast and 2 AM dinner. They always delivered and after the first few weeks they almost predicted my ants and needs. The owner even took me on his rounds when I was off and bored or when I needed to visit a Warrington shop and getting a taxi would cost me extra. I`m from Zimbabwe in Southern Africa. I even created my own sandwich (Prawn and something I can recall) which I wonder if they still do. THANK YOU AND STAY SAFE LONGVIEW.

We stayed at this hotel for a business trip and it was lovely! The man at reception couldn?t be more helpful and was very lovely. Are room was clean, tidy and well equipped; it?s an older dated room but they have a introduction booklet to explain that they want to keep the Victorian theme alive which I think is lovely! The bathroom was an updated bathroom and it was lovely to have the option of a bath robe instead of just towels. They had small things that not a lot of hotels think of such as shower caps, drinking cups and hot chocolate as well as just tea and coffee. The room was a nice temperature but we had to open the window as the bathroom did get quite warm and it was coming into the bedroom but apart from that I found no issues. They have a downstairs bar cellar on site and it is very cosy and relaxing! We ate at the hotel for dinner and it was delicious! Great portion size and you could see that everything was fresh including the salad. Breakfast was lovely we had a great deal of choice from the continental to full English which also catered for vegetarians! The coffee was brought out in a Cafetière instead of instant which was a lovely touch to add! Overall we had a pleasant experience and if we ever came back up this way we would stay again!!

Rang up to cancel our stay well before the day and money (£200) was still taken out. On ringing the hotel they had absolutely no interest in the situation. A genuine miscommunication somewhere but still complete disregard for what I had to say. Disgusting! A number of reviews have commented on the poor level of customer service, and I can see why. Will be taking this further, plenty of excellent hotels in knutsford so don?t book here!

Stayed for a few days with my daughter while visiting family in the area, the staff were lovely and gave us ideas of where to go. The rooms were clean and staff were very friendly and super helpful. Situated right in the heart of knutsford and only a minute or two from all the shops and restaurants. The breakfast was amazing too.

Centrally and conveniently located in a peaceful and pretty neighbourhood facing the Heath, this Hotel is a little gem! Clean, cosy, warm rooms, comfortable beds with tea/coffee making facilities. Professional, customer focussed staff, always happy to assist to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast is freshly cooked for you from a menu with fresh tea and coffee. I would not stay anywhere else in Knutsford. Great Hotel.

This hotel is an interesting proposition, it charges more than local 3 and 4 star hotels and is therefore evidently reliant on corporate customers for its survival. Yet, if you want anything more than a mediocre B and B I wouldn't bother. I had the good fortune (from the point of a review) to not only stay in the hotel but chat to the member of staff working at the time. It seems the fairly consistent comments of the hotel seeming tired, grubby and poorly equipped is caused by the owners upcoming retirement plans. Running it on a skeleton crew and no investment other than reactive maintenance to serious issues. Just a cash cow. Don't eat in the restaurant, just don't. From what I hear, this hotel won't be winning any employer awards either! Overworked, underpaid; I felt I had to give them a tip just to keep my conscience clear. My one night here was ultimately depressing in an old fashioned veil, never again.

We had a wonderful stay. Our room was lovely with a really comfortable bed. Extremely clean too! Staff were first class, professional and friendly. We have already booked our next stay. Breakfast is hearty and tasty and lovely fresh coffee.
I can be quite fussy about hotels and check for dust in my room as soon as I arrive. Not a speck of it anywhere - not even on the lovely, fancy frame of the mirror.
As far as complaints go, the only thing I could moan about was that there was only one sachet of hot chocolate by the kettle lol (I won the toss with my hubby on who would get it, so can't really complain :D ) I jokingly mentioned it to Neil on reception and he was quick to make sure that on the second day we had two lol
Lovely hotel deserving of more than 2 stars.

Stayed for 2 nights and would have left if other accommodation had availability. This is a 70's guest house! Dated, shabby, raining in on ground floor outside the suite, greasy breakfast - was charged £12.50 for a bowl of cereals and 1 poached egg on toast with coffee! Curtain hooks off the rail, Very depressing. It is over 3 houses and we had to walk in the rain to the last one. The only positive comments are It is very clean and the staff very friendly.. Time of Alex Pollitzi!

Longview hotel is very dated and even though the rooms are reasonably clean the carpets are very grubby as well as the bed throw and cushion.I stay in many B& Bs due to work and as far as customer care is concerned, this is by far the bottom of the list.I am a lady who is in her 60's and during my 5 night stay, I was woken at 2am by a man opening my door and entering my bedroom, I thought my door was locked but apparently you have to turn the lock twice to secure, something I was not made aware of.The man concerned seemed drunk/ confused and I had to tell him in no uncertain terms to get out of my room, which with my help, he did. After a scary, heart thumping, sleepless rest of the night, I reported the incident to the Male Duty Manager which was a complete waste of time as empathy and assistence was zero. Following a second sleepless night thinking 'what if ? I asked the Duty Manager if there was CCTV on the outside of the building to reassure me that the intruder was either a guest and not an intruder, I never got a clear answer as he said he wouldnt be able to recognise anyone as it only gave a back vIew, even though I said several times that I would recognise him and even told him he was what he was wearing and what accent he had. All Longview had to do for me, was to perhaps ask if I was ok, pop a note into my room to check all was well, maybe offer me another room, check my door lock, not too much to ask, to reassure that I was safe and valued as a guest in their Hotel.
