Basic but very clean and a good size bed. A bargain for £27 a night for a double room.

Steve greeted us when we arrived at the Travelodge and was extra friendly and helpful. He mentioned this was his first time back working here in 5 years and he really went over the top with his service to ensure that we were very happy and comfortable as we had a 4 month old with us. He promptly rearranged another room for us so that we were on the ground floor with a bath (instead of 2nd) and helped us with setting up a travel cot, etc. His mannerism, personality and energy really made it a great experience this time - we usually stay overnight when we drive up from London to the North. The next morning, we also had a very friendly lady working the counter and this is the best Travelodge stay we've had in the UK.

Clean tidy rooms. Strong WiFi, good selection of channels on the TV. Staff are super friendly welcoming and are a pleasure to deal with. Bathroom had good water pressure and temperature.Good location at Knutsford. Short drive to a very good chippy. Perfect when visiting family.

Stayed here as we had an earlyish flight from Manchester Airport and it's only a short drive to JetParks from here.Stupidly we didn't follow the instructions for getting to the hotel from our side of the motorway so we went up to the next junction and tracked back - you can actually get there from the services on the other side.We had to wait a little while to check in as the receptionist wasn't available (there was a number to call which the people in front of us had done). When you check in you have to record your vehicle reg on the tablet in reception - originally we put in the following date as our check out date but apparently this would mean it ran out at 00:01 so the receptionist advised us to use the day after. We managed to get one of the spaces directly outside the hotel, but the entrance is through the services at the back right so it was still a little walk.Room was as expected, was a bit concerned as it was directly above the HGVs that had parked up for the night but the sound proofing was pretty good and didn't really hear anything. One of the plug sockets nearest the TV didn't seem to work so I'd put my phone on charge over night and the next morning it was still low on battery; not ideal as we were leaving pretty much after we'd woke up.Other than that no issues at all for the price paid.

when I went up north for trainspotting, this was the place where we stayed on night 1 after going from Pirton crossing and acton bridge, which was very fun, I did get to sleep eventually, since it was a new place I went to, but on night 2 I went to sleep a bit faster because I was used to it, and on morning 3, we left, it was very fun staying up north, and a good thing the fire system was all good and not faulty, I reccomend this hotel to other people or trainspotters who want to have a session up north! The session was from August 1st to August 3rdFood & drinks: there is a moto under below which comes with some delicious hot and cold refreshments and food.

The room was a good size but a bit tired. Gave 3 as the room was warm and couldn't have the window open as the room overlooked the air con plant and it was very noisy.Good location and a great stopover to split a journey.

You seriously need air con. My only criticism is the room was toasting at night. Even had the fan on full was still to hot and clammy.

It?s a Travelodge so it?s pretty basic, the rooms are ok, nice clean bed but whilst the rooms are well insulated against noise the downside is that they get very stuffy during the night. Reception appears that there is seldom anyone there and you have to phone a freephone number for attention. Most likely receptionist is doing other tasks in the building. Being on a service area next to the M6 motorway means that while you have some facilities on site they are not all that great. It?s also not much good if you have dogs and the car parking spaces are really tight. Be aware that you need to enter your car registration number for every day you stay so 1 night is two days.Rooms: Basic, slightly tiredNearby activities: Nothing except usual service area shops and toilets.Safety: Busy service station with lots of traffic so not particularly safe for young children or dogs.Walkability: Not walkable.Food & drinks: Burger King downstairs so not great.

We stopped at the service station, to freshen up and so I could take my mum to the disabled toilets, the disabled toilets were locked at the service station, so we requested at Travelodge if they had the key for the toilet, which Maya said she didn't, but what she did allow was us to use the disabled toilets in the travelodge by the reception. It may not be a big thing for the average person but when your stuck with a disabled person needing the loo and they can't get to it.... Journeys become really difficult and hard and then they become reluctant to travel, Maya went the extra mile and made it so easy for my mum.I hope we can have more kind hearted considerate people who make life easier for others.

Basic room. Rude staff, was made to wait for 7mins to check in whilst the staff member on reception spoke to a colleague on the phone (it didn't sound important). Check in took about 30secs, so in my view, they should have put the colleague on hold.

My goodness this stay was pretty poor. The hand towel was dirty upon arrival. Then omg was the room hot and stuffy! Yes I know it's summer but the lack of air con in rooms made our night simply awful. The window arrangement didn't allow for any air flow. Yes we had a fan but didn't do the job. When we left and felt how lovely and air cooled it was in the corridor, we wished we'd slept out there.

Room clean and tidy, showers was ok. Bed was reasonable. All in all it was fine with no complaints. Not as cheap as they used to be!!

It was my one and last stopover ever at this Travelodge. The place is tired, carpets worn and debris seen. I was up most of the night, difficulty sleeping because of the noise of trucks outside audible despite the glazed windows. I also felt congested due to allergy of dust that was in the room. Staff were great.

Stayed here 1st May Bank Holiday. Highly recommed for a cheap stay before travelling to the airport. It was a really easy 15 minute drive to MAN and straight of the m6 after exiting the services. I slept really well, comfy and clean and really friendly welcome desk. Considering it is next to the motorway, I didn't hear a thing and I was looking over the car park.
