Yet another brilliant evening at Chopstix. This time we was the new year in at this fab restaurant. The food was as lovely as ever, the service excellent, great atmosphere & company and live music to boot. Overall a superb evenng out.

Live in the area, so went in here for the first time yesterday 7th November. Lovely restaurant, but being a vegetarian I noticed a very limited menu. Set menu for vegetarian and that was all. I ordered a side vegetable dish, of the two available, explaining to the waitress that I didn't eat meat, and could I have it as a main. So I ate a very simple meal. When we got home and looked at their website, they had a large choice of vegetarian meals, on a vegetarian menu! Not sure why we weren't given that menu, but next time I'll ask for it.

Came here for a birthday treat. The staff were more than accommodating, and made us feel welcome and comfortable. Kieran our waiter did a great job, thank you mate. Highly recommended this place for great food, great atmosphere and great service. Thank you chopstix, we?ll be back.

I ordered a takeaway this evening as I will be going out later tonight. As always the food was on time, excellent quality and the service friendly. We enjoyed the Prawn Satay Skewers, Lamb Bowl and the Sizzling Fillet steak. I've been going to Chopstix either for a meal or takeaway ever since it opened and still find it the best Chinese restaurant this side of China Town, Manchester.

What a lovely evening we had with our friends from Bentley Motors. The food was absolutely divine and the service from all of the staff was impeccable. I haven't a clue as to why some people have left negative comments for this wonderful restaurant, what hateful and miserable people they must be. We had the best service with the best food, and that went for all of us who shared the evening. Well done to all the staff, thanks for making our night so good. ?

What a night. Brilliant and swift service, lovely staff attending to all our needs and the best Chinese food we have ever had. My wife and I had a banquet for twom which was more than adequate, the variety too was brilliant. Very generously sized portions too. There were 9 of us in total and every one said it was the best Chinese meal they'd ever has. Congratulations to all of the team at Chopstix, you made our night real special and we'll be back very soon.

We had a set menu for a celebration meal. The starters were ok but two of the four main dishes were inedible. The chicken in the satays and sweet and sour was tough and the vegetables were limp.

From making the original booking to having the meal, the service & the way we were treated was very disappointing from start to finish! We were obviously not welcome and the manager & staff made that perfectly clear. They couldn?t get us in & out of the place quickly enough. We were not given or even offered any prawn crackers though the tables opposite to us were and not asked if we wanted any further drinks after the initial order. Most of the food was distinctly average & some not even that good! For some unknown reason, they obviously don?t like serving larger groups! Just awful!!!

Oh my lord! Where to start! Service with a smile would of been nice. On arrival we were shown to our seat quickly, the waitress took my drinks order and they were brought pretty quickly, I ordered a double gin but only got a single. The starters were brought out but not removed from our table before the mains were brought out. I had ordered Grilled beancurd in peking sauce with egg fried rice. Now, the egg fried rice was lush but let's be fair it's rice with egg! My Grilled beancurd wasn't grilled and it was sloppy, it fell apart, it was slimey, the sauce was like homemade gravy that had sat for a few hours and started to separate and I'd been given the fatty layer! I obviously didn't eat it. We didn't get offered anymore drinks. The staff clearly wanted us in and out as quickly as possible. The staff stood in the door way watching us as if we were small children not grown women. It was an awful experience, not a nice atmosphere at all. We requested the bill and went to pay, to be told to go back upstairs to pay! The cheek! We refused and all paid individually down stairs. I complained to the waitress about my meal and her response was that she wasn't the correct person to tell! What? Sorry but as a consumer spending my hard earn money, I don't care who I complain too, pass on the message! I think its quite clear that this place is not able to cater for larger groups or they don't want them in and when they do, they want them in and out as quick as possible. I certainly won't be going again!

We booked chopstix for a leaving party for one of our nurses at work, originally starting with 20 people, we were then informed it had to be the set menu per person as that is how they liked it to be for any party?s over 10 persons, unfortunately most of the group did not want/like the food on the set menu, we spoke to the owner jacqui and I explained to her we would like to eat from the menu, she reluctantly agreed not before saying they didn?t like this as complaints could be made,now already 4 people had already dropped out, we then submitted our menu choices but oh no this was not good enough as it had to be £15 per person and between us we were £11.30 short and yes jacqui made a big deal and another phone call to us moaning about £11.30 and called me a liar to the staff member she spoke ti saying I had told her that most of the people would be eating if the set menu, please jacqui respond to this and tell me at any point of you driving in the car did I say this as I hardly spoke as you were telling me what a great person you are, any way back to the restaurant we added on a bottle of wine so all was good we were then able to book for the leaving party, we all arrived to staff with sour faces who really did not want us there from the minute they saw us, the food was mostly nice, just a couple of the ladies was not to there liking. Another party was in the room upstairs with us a party of 12 (jacqui had already told me on the phone her friends were booked in) but they all had menus and were able to choose what they wanted on the night, now I?m quite positive jacqui had said parties over 10 had to be the set menu or pre order so I would like to know which it is. We had finished our food and went outside for some fresh air as the room upstairs was like a furnace and one of our staff had paid her bill and was leaving early to which she informed us that jacqui had stated ti her we were the worst bunch of people she had ever had to deal with so again jacqui please tell me what we had done to deserve you and all the staff to treat us like utter s**t, we then just wanted to pay our bill and leave, even this we were told to go and sit down like naughty school children and weren?t allowed to stand up. So overall it could be a nice place but they certainly do not like big groups who do not want the set menu, also jacqui if you were a much nicer person you would of made a whole lot more money as we would of had plenty more drinks but we went next door to bench ( lovely welcoming place) and spent several hundreds more in there.
