I called into my local Boots because I have an eye infection. Sophie dealt with my request promptly, and liaised with the optician. I also ordered a pair of sunglasses with Sophie, and again, the service was fast, friendly and caring. I cannot recommend Boots, Northwich enough, they always provide a friendly and professional service.

Took my 4 year old to collect his glasses today. The staff were really impatient with him and kept taking the glasses away everytime it was just me and my son left at the desk which I didn't understand. I wasnt going to run off with them. My advice if you have children take them to specsavers not here!

Have been with Boots Opticians for many years, but their customer service has declined further and further. Why they're not capable of answering the phone is beyond me. It's absolutely infuriating. Will no longer be using them.

Always very professional and are very thorough in examining your eyes. Staff are very friendly, and particular mention to James, the optician, who I've seen for several years, is very good and explains everything in detail.

Really disappointed that after numerous attempts at booking appointments for my children, they change the time without checking with me and then cannot offer the original time I booked online. How is that good customer service?

My daughter's glasses are ready, she is 15, but she is isolating so I cannot take her as required by law. I asked if I could collect her glasses as they are prescription and she needs them, and I'd take her after isolation for adjustments if required - not an unreasonable request in these trying times where flexibility and understanding should be paramount. Total refusal saying the glasses could not be released if she did not go. They have already been paid for, and in the end, it is a shop that sells glasses. Really disappointed with the service and lack of flexility after so many years of custom.

This is the worst opticians Iâ??ve ever been to! It takes weeks to get an enitial appointment, then when I did get an appointment I was tested & told I had problems with distance, after a 3 week wait for overpriced glasses I couldnâ??t see through the glasses issues, when I returned I was retested & told I my vision for distances was fine but I needed glasses for reading...after weeks of struggling I decided to visit a different opticians who knew what they were actually doing. The customer service is absolutely horrendous, & they charge almost triple the price for special coatings that that of other opticians. I wouldnâ??t recommend this opticians to anybody.

HOSTILE - I have just been for the EIGHTH visit to Northwich to hopefully conclude a prescription that started in November (3 months!). I can only say that my husband's request to have a designer case for his designer glasses (for which he has paid over £600) has been 'forgotten'. Rather than apologise and agree how to resolve, an interrogation ensued. I am so disappointed - this is BAD service - when you mess up - apologise and ensure you will put it right. Poor attitude, attention and lack of customer care - 0 stars.

Wouldn't recommend for actual eye tests, 2 of my last 3 prescriptions have been incorrect, my latest was very blurry and gave me headaches.
The staff are fairly friendly and not pushy sales wise, and the frames themselves are usually good quality, if a little pricey. It's an okay place for buying glasses, but not for eye tests.
