Self service todayThe member of staff (Gaynor)Customer service appalling obviously been there a long time and didn?t want to be there apathetic and surlyI scanned two cakes both in same bag but different cakesObviously this caused an issue when bagging stageAttracted Gaynors attention for helpTo be told either take the cake out the bagWhen I pointed out that wasn?t an option was then told nothing she can doSo I advised Gaynor to cancel the sale I would go via the tillsNo apology no assistanceBoggles my mindCould have been all avoided if manual system had been used eg skip baggingOr if not familiar with the till could simply have offered to go and get another cake bag from bakeryShocking service from M&S

Went to the coffee shop on Sunday 16 July at 3.00. I had my 2 young children with me. They wanted cake. No cakes at all. I wanted an ice bun. No buns at all. The children said they would have biscuits but there were no plates. I had an oat latte which is my normal order. It was awful. The staff were informing customers at 3.15 that they were turning the coffee machine off. This despite them having a shop a few yards away selling cakes and buns. Appalling service.

Shopping for food 24th Feb 2023 pm. Joshua on checkout was a delight to be served by. Very sunny disposition, exceptional young man, excellent representation of M&S. Star quality standards. Thank you

I meet friends in here regularly and have never met a grumpy member of staff or been concerned with the food. If raw food was being served they would be shut down by Health & Safety, if people are concerned about not having a Barista style coffee then there is a Costa close by where they should go instead. They do accommodate for vegans and have a good selection of non dairy alternatives. Please be kind, we have all had a tough couple of years, the masks were always an option, people seem to forget, it was never a MUST in M&S, thank goodness they used discretion and no "Spikes" were attributed to this cafe!

Called in for a coffee . Asked for oat milk cappuccino. Carole making drinks tried to palm me off with a poor excuse for warm coffee no froth. I politely said I wanted cappuccino and she growled at me saying she wasn?t a barrister . Yes her words . She then went and got someone else to make the drink drink warm not even hot and told me the oat milk won?t go hot they need training . No apology from either just very rude staff m/s are employing . I would if given a minus star but no option to do so . Please sort your rude staff out .

Popped in for a quick coffee whilst shopping. All staff wore masks in varying styles, non of which were correct. Lady serving had hers flapping, with one side wrapped around her ear, lady taking money wore hers as a chin accessory and other staff member wore hers under her nose. The only staff member wearing it correctly was a young man who took over later on. All the other staff members were ladies of an age old enough to know better. The scone ordered was rock hard and crumbled upon the attempt to butter it. The most upsetting part was the attitude of one staff member who was very rude and made me feel as though she was doing me a favour by serving me. No customer service skills whatsoever. I suffer with anxiety and it takes a lot for me to even go and order a drink, this person made me feel the worst I have felt for a long time. I do not know what I done to be treated so rudely. Staff training needs to be improved. I appreciate the cafe can get busy and it is a stressful job, but its no excuse for poor behaviour. Will not be going back there.

This cafe has really gone downhill used to be a nice place to have a coffee when shopping I will not go in there any more it freezing sitting in there You wait forever to be served while staff are flapping about Coffee inconsistent Staff need to be trained in coffee making and customer service In all not a good experience Very sad but nobody cares no leadership or direction Having been in hospitality for many years I find it totally unacceptable

Staff are super helpful: I went to buy some trousers. There was one person in front of me to pay and return an item. As soon as the staff saw it was taking a bit longer than expected they opened a second till just for me. That's what I call service!

I visited M&S Widnes for a bra fitting. The lovely lady who dealt with me, Julia, was brilliant. She gave excellent service and advice - which means I now have bras that ACTUALLY fit me instead of torturing me. Great thanks.
