We spend tens of thousands of pounds per year on having our merchandise delivered via Royal Mails Insured Special Delivery service. (Insured being the key word).However, in the last 24 months we have had over £30,000 worth of goods that have ?gone missing? from Royal Mails sorting offices. We have had tracking receipts to prove that EACH AND EVERY ONE of these items has gone missing within Royal Mails handling system.However, only one of our insurance claims has been successful. Which resulted in a £2500 compensation payment.We recently had £650 worth of goods go missing, which we had insured as usual via the Royal Mail 24 hour special delivery service. The tracking shows its last location as Widnes Sorting Office.We made made our claim and we were asked to provide the tracking receipt and proof of the value of our goods.We did all of this.We have received a letter today stating that they are unable to compensate us for the theft or loss of our goods.WHAT IS THE POINT IN THE INSURED SPECIAL DELIVERY SERVICE IF YOUR GOODS ARE NOT ACTUALLY INSURED??!!!!!!When you total up the amount we have spent on insuring all of our packages over the years, and then the amount of goods we have had stolen and not been paid out on, Royal Mail owe us close to £100,000. It?s sickening and I smell inside corruption at work.

Ordered a personalised card and was out for delivery. Twice Royal Mail tried to deliver whilst I was in work. It?s not sat in the delivery office for me to collect for just a 2 hour window per day! Couldn?t you just post it and take a photo as proof? it?s only an envelope after all.

Very poor. No postal deliveries for 2 weeks at a time.Waited 30 minutes to pick up a parcel. 4 customers in front of me, 3 of which were told their parcels couldn't be found.Not very good Royal mail.

9 days for a 1st class letter posted from Widnes to Worksop. Stamped at Wton mail depot on March 28th and delivered this morning.... It was meant as a surprise and posted well in time... My sister posted her card to same address on 4th April from Chester and they got it next dayWhats happening at our end..?

It's a good service office staff are very professional and always helpful and friendly, and they will go out of their way to be helpful and sort out any difficulties you may have. It's a very good office and the service is always prompt

Inadequate space for people to queue, especially when they have erratic and short opening times and you have to stand outside in the snow for half an hour before being able to get into the door.

I think it's as good as any sorting office but they could have done with 2 staff on the desk as there was quite a long queue, it being so close to Christmas.

It's not just the office it's the post overall, been waiting 3 days for a next day delivery, then get a card with sorry we missed you. So go get the package and guess what it's fits perfectly though the letter box royal mail are a joke
