The best thing about Aldi, Newquay Cornwall, is the view from the car park. Plus they sell a vegan chocolate bar that is also gluten free which is rather yummy.

Aldi is aldi, good value, generally good customer service, well dressed, clean, polite and generally helpful staff. Usually has all you need for a supermarket/general store. On a whole this aldi like many others gets a thumbs up from me. Good job aldi xx keep it up.

got parking fine for shopping. Don?t tend to aimlessly wonder around and look at the posters, I go in there to buy food - staff should be telling people about number plate info at checkout. Then staff not friendly when came in about the fine. Won?t shop here anymore

Popped into Aldi Newquay this aft for provisions home, had most things I was looking for.. Except single cans of fizzy drinks. Didn't want to carry 6 packs so went elsewhere for them.

Be careful the parking is such a shambles, we went to aldi and was out in 28mins and got a £40 fine such a money making scheme, you can't even shop with out getting fined, what aldi doesn't have it's own parking and fines for staying in legal time scale

I shopped here on 10/06/23 when I was leaving Newquay and was in the car park for 34 minutes. On the 28/06/23 I recieved a reminder regarding a parking fine, although I did not receive the original fine. The time allowed is 1.5 hours I was unsure why I had received this fine. Looking at the details on the back of the fine it appears that they have introduced a "terminal" where you are required to enter your registration number. I have never come across this before at an Aldi and visit this store each time I am on holiday. When this was introduced I don't know. Clearly they can tell I had only been in the car park for 34 minutes, so you would hope that common sense would prevail, but this seems to be in very short supply nowadays.Even if I had entered by registration (had I known about the terminal) this would not prove I had actually shopped at Aldi. So unless your registration is added to the shop receipt anyone who knows about the terminal can park here for free and go elsewhere. So adding your registration to the receipt/at the till would mean the non-genuine shoppers would get fine as they wouldn't have purchased anything. Would that not be fairer? This would also free up the car park for genuine customers. There is no requirement to do this at Aldi in Wadebridge.I was going to raise a dispute with the parking company (usually a complete waste of time) but thought I would ring Aldi first. On speaking to Melissa and explaining the situation Melissa was very helpful and understanding and she kindly agreed to cancel the parking fine for which I am genuinely grateful.I think if you adopt this method of fining people you will just lose customers as there are plenty of other supermarkets in Newquay. As I tend to pay by debit card I can see the transaction so would be able to prove my purchases if required. So what would have been a £70.56 shop could easily have cost me £140.56!There are numerous car parks fining people everywhere and lots in Cornwall, in a lot of cases just for driving in and out, even if there are no parking spaces. Just is just a money making scheme and madness.Whilst unscruplous people might park at Aldi and shop elsewhere, I only parked here to food shop, having already parked elsewhere to go round Newquay.I think in future I would be inclined to shop somewhere where I know I am not likely to be fined.Had this fine not been cancelled I would have not have shopped at Aldi again, so maybe someone needs to take the longer term view. £70 fine against an annual shop of between £3,600-£4,000, so if you take that over someones lifetime how many tens of thousands are you losing. If this type of practice continue you are going to get people stopping as they drive in to read all the T&C's before driving into the car park, which clearly isn't practical. Why should you get fined for being a genuine customer. Please be aware of this potential cost in the form of fine when you go shopping or you may be in for a nasty surprise.
