Highly recommend Quicksilver.Professional and super friendly. Jim on reception was fab. First time + a bit nervous as not a natural water baby.2 hours goes by quick but you get a thorough session. Bertie was so comfortable (and happy!) in the water which helps if you're new to surfing. Explained safety really well and had excellent teaching points / feedback loop. They've honed it here tbh.

Me and my sister had Berty as an instructor and he was great, he explained everything in a lot of detail yet in a way easy to understand and remember, great lesson, great instructor. Would definitely recommend

Bertie took us for a private family surf lesson, and it was excellent!! It was our first time surfing and a brilliant experience! He was a natural with our kids (aged 8 and 5), and very patient too :-) All 4 of us had a great time, and am already thinking about booking again soon ?

My two children Leila and Jacob had a beginner lesson with Pete today - they absolutely loved every second of it! One of their favourite experiences to date and Pete was amazing with them. Thank you! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for lessons

My girlfriend and I had 3 lessons here about 2 weeks ago and had a great time. It was our third time taking lessons with the Quiksilver Surf School and we have improved so much! This time our instructor was E, who was fantastic - as we booked group lessons there were multiple adults and kids for him to manage in very windy weather, which he did perfectly. His expert knowledge of D&D is also much appreciated.Everyone else we?ve met at the surf school so far has been super nice too, and the equipment is always in good condition (better than in other surf schools) - we?ll be back the next time we?re in Newquay!Regards,Charles

We had a really great time at Quicksilver Surf School Newquay. Our family beginner lesson with Pete was so good we booked another session for the week after. By the end of the first lesson both our sons were standing up and by the end of the second lesson we all were.Pete was a superb teacher. He took time to explain everything to all of us, we felt very safe and more importantly we all had a good laugh.Highly recommended for all.

Wish I could give more stars.We had lessons for beginners and improvers for adults and teens, spread over a few days, which were great. From being properly terrified to loving it with a surf bug. I can't thank E enough for helping all 4 of us improve (big 4 votes for E) especially helping me get on my feet in amazing time and transforming how I felt about it. All of the instructors the 4 of us had were great, Meg sorted us in the shop and on the phone answering all our queries. You can't go wrong with Quicksilver, such nice people who help everyone really enjoy the experience, can't thank everyone enough for making our holiday. Only wish I started surfing 20years ago!

Amasing experience, 4 of us went for a beginner lesson, our instructorJoe was amazing, the weather was rainy and miserable but he made the whole experience very lit and we all caught heaps of wave and had great lesson. Will 100% recommend the surf school especially Joe.

It was a great experience, Rosie is an amazing instructor, very experienced and fantastic. The lesson was very productive, we got up and caught some great waves on our boards during the first lesson. I highly recommend it. If you go there, find Rosie.:) ???

As beginners we booked a 4 lesson package over three days with Kyle and Jack.With their encouraging and expert advice we not only had an amazing time but progressed enormously over the few days.Also booking was made so easy by the receptionist who created a group of lessons to meet with the times/days we were available at a really competitive price.A super friendly outfit with amazing knowledge of the kit, surf conditions and above else the standard of teaching.Our group agreed that even if we had not progressed our (limited!) skills - the time spent in the water with our Kyle and Jack made our trip :)

Used this shop twice on a visit to Newquay - once for bodyboarding and once for surfing. Good rental equipment, friendly staff and changing facilities are available.We'd no prior surfing experience so had a lesson with Pete - highly recommend! Pete offered lots of guidance and important information in a fun session, leaving us a lot more confident by the end! Felt very safe at all times in what was a very enjoyable couple of hours

We had 3 improver lessons and absolutely loved them - our instructor, Bertie, was a great guy and also really good instructor! The lessons were fun, but also super informative. He gave loads of very helpful tips so that both of us were able to progress a lot, and also provided different boards to try which was great! I also really appreciated that he was able to make some helpful suggestions on positioning regarding some limited mobility in my weaker leg/knee, which had been an issue for me while surfing elsewhere. We will definitely come back the next time we?re in Newquay - thanks Bertie!
