Shocking delivery with black tomatoes & bananas, rotten sprouts, broken yoghurts & out of date produce. Sadly the delivery drivers are customer facing & have to deal with this. All the drivers are great - it is the packers I have issue with. It is against the law to be selling out of date produce. Appalling customer service.

I?ve traveled up from Kent and I must say it?s one of the best Sainsbury?s I?ve ever been in and the cafe balcony is a nice touch in the lovely weather, the staff were happy and really helpful 10/10

1st - the shop is not safe - too many staff not wearing masks (they can't all be exempt) - should be reported to police for breaching Covid-19 precautions. 2nd - the staff are unhelpful & rude. Went there today & reached up for bottle of sauce - the bottom must have been damaged but still put on the shelf - it came apart in my hand and I was covered in a shower of bright orange sweet and sour sauce. NOBODY helped me - I had blobs of sauce dripping off me as I went to the check-out. The 1st "manager" who came laughed and went to get the mop for the floor?! I told her it wasn't funny and she wasn't handling at all right. The second "manager" just shrugged his shoulders and told me to send them the dry cleaning bill before I had finished explaining what had happened. The dragon organising check-outs kept saying how she was helping me - she wasn't. I had to ask the check-out lady whether she had any wipes. Nobody checked I hadn't cut myself - Nobody offered any help.

Up until recently Click and Collect was made from a van in the car park, and worked well. Since they opened up their bay, it has not worked at all, and now it is even closed, to the confusion and discomfort of the customers. We are left standing in the rain, with no staff around, just a mobile phone No. to call, and a long wait until someone appears. Although I arrived on time, there was a chap in the queue ahead of me, waiting for his. When mine arrived 15 minutes later, after having to stand in the cold and pouring rain, my goods were wet, as he had to bring them from goodness knows where to my car. It is not the fault of the staff, but the system is a total lash-up! BRING BACK THE VAN.

Unfortunately I can?t recommend Sainsbury?s at Penzance as I received some poor customer service from a member of staff. I queried the price of a product at the till and another staff member went to check- when she returned she told me that I was incorrect and implied that I had lied. The worst part was that she shouted across many other customers and when I tried to tell her about the shelf label just talked right over me. It was disappointing to be spoken to like that by a member of staff and will not be returning to this store.
