Brought a lovely amethyst ring with diamond shoulder. The man on the mending apartment was brilliant. My fingers were badly swollen and I was ready to have the ring resized. He asked me to check how far the ring went on my finger and it went just over my knuckle so he advised me that once my fingers went down it would fit perfectly which I'm happy to say it does so thankyou so much. The lady who sold it to me was brilliant too. So glad I didn't have it resized as it fits me perfectly with a bit of room. And we found out he used to live where we live now. So nice to meet him.

Great for a short visit.Needed somewhere to take my children on a cold November while their dad visited his dad in hospital. We had a walk round the museum and the tin mine and also did some panning for gold! Didn?t find gold but all three managed to get some tin.We registered our entry and were given a £5 voucher for jewellery. The jewellery they had was lovely. Good Black Friday offers!

Interesting place. Has a display showing how mining was done many years ago. Also has a workshop that's good for repairs and advice. The only place I know where you can buy chains by the inch and it has a lovely restaurant. There is a free exhibition that shows how the tin streaming was and is still done and you can pan for gold too - all for free. Great place to spend a couple of hours.

Having moved to the area my other half was at work so I went out for adventure. Arrived and had a little look around, what an amazing looking place, great history and information given about the gold and miners.I helped myself to a cream tea, it was lovely, very fresh. My only concern was that I asked for a black coffee instead of tea and was charged an extra £1, most places do replace tea for coffee at no extra cost so maybe something to think about. Will be returning again.

Free to enter, Cornwall Gold makes it's own jewellery which is lovely. There is now an exhibition you can walk round which explains how the gold is acquired and has costumes you can put on for photographs. The workshop is still there where you can see the jewellery being made or get something of yours cleaned or repaired. This is the only place I know anywhere that still sells gold and silver plated chains by the inch. You can also walk through the tin streaming museum which shows how it was all done 100 and more years ago also free of charge. Finally there is The Pantry which serves a wonderful cooked breakfast served on a miners shovel as well as tea, coffee, pasties and pastries. Highly recommend it.

Was amazing experience. We spend an hour looking at the jewellery, which was all stunning. The history when we walked in all add to the experience. The pick an oyster and pearl was so much fun. Jan who help us through picking and mounting the pearl was friendly and kind. The food was so yummy. We had The Likky Pie and the Dirty Burger so tasty (perfect). Would recommend a visit . Before visiting goto there website and book in before you go. There's no payment but they offer £5 off when booked.

We visited with family, 29th August decided to have a bite to eat in the cafe. Ordered pasties as a wet day only to hear a guy in an apron tell his colleague they were out! @ 2.15 Still displayed on the chalk board half hr later, slow service from the staff making the coffees not much communication going on.Supervisor Jo was a delight! Very friendly and helpful, excellent service on the jewellery counter and with opening a pearl shell. We were there until just gone 4oc didn't phase her that closing time had gone by, she was a delight! Thank you Jo

I had breakfast, which arrived promptly and was excellent, great coffee, the staff were very helpful and friendly. A special mention to the Canadian Lady, who served me in the jewellery section, she was very helpful and knowledgeable, and very relaxed in her manner, not in your face trying to get me to buy more. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

Great for a rainy day! My daughter loved the free gold panning (although you won't find any gold just iron pyrite)Big bonus being dog friendly. Great food and good toilet facilities. There is also a make your own bear and paint your own pottery to do.

Brilliant place for Kids and Adults!Free entry, everything is reasonably priced(Pottery Painting, Bear Works and food).Food was delicious, and large serving, staff very friendly and helpful.Dogs were allowed everywhere, panning for gold was fun and a walk round the old mill was fascinating.Definitely Not to be missed.

Booked in advance to get the £5 free voucher and free ring clean. Got neither and told booking makes no difference. The building itself stinks of something. Just off. No mini golf as the photos show, no pasties as the website says, only thing available was paint pottery which was expensive for what it is and the jewellery on sale looks real cheap and tacky with extortionate prices. Feel like I wasted a morning. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Lovely & dog friendly. There is a wonderful collection of jewellery made with tin from the mine. The cafe/restaurant sells a wide range of drinks & food. Plenty of seating inside & out.For a free entry there is a lot of history to learn about & sifting for gold was fun.A huge thank you to Donna for her amazing customer service. She sorted out a ring and bracelet for myself & necklace for my mum. Not only was she lovely & helpful but she also gave us a list of wonderful places to visit nearby. We visited some on the way back to our accommodation & have the others planned for our next day out. Thank you for making it a lovely day out & can?t wait to visit again.

We have been a keen supporter of Cornwall gold for many years now. The pottery/crafts and panning for gold are still brilliant however my last visit left me feeling a little frustrated. I love what they have done with the improvements with education exhibits, however the cafe needs some positive moves forward. The food service counter is slow and not accepting of any alterations on a breakfast, this is a waste of food , not to mention quite outdated as a modern eatery. We requested no tomatoes and was told ? the chef won?t allow any alterations? However we mostly enjoyed the visit.
