Had a very enjoyable stay here, although our time was cut short due to a personal issue. We stayed in a double room which had everything you need hairdryer, iron & ironing board, shampoo etc. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. If you are looking to stay in St Austell I would highly recommend.

The Christmas meal I had was disgusting. The lamb shank wasn't a lamb shank ! It was over cooked and tasted and looked awful. I won't be eating there again.

Went for a Xmas meal with work. The atmosphere wasn't great, the beer was reasonably priced. The food was good, we ordered in advance and there were a couple of mistakes that were rectified without issue. There was a speaker playing Xmas music in the room which was a nice touch but it was way to loud, and we ended up turning it off. All in all, we had a reasonable evening. I'd go back ??

We stayed at this hotel in October 2023 for 5 nights. 2 adults and a child. We had a large room with a very large main bed.Breakfast was good. We only stayed for one dinner at the hotel which was good too.Our choice of St Austell was that we could explore Cornwall from this place easily. This was our first visit to Cornwall.

Stayed for 5 nights. Stairs a bit steep and narrow, but it's an old building. Room (17) is a little small, but spotless, with a really comfy bed, and a very good shower. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I must give a special mention to Dylan, who was especially helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The food was excellent , note to chef/management the seafood chowder should be offered as a main as well as a starter as it was the best I've had.

Staff are lovely Andrew is a smashing chapUnfortunately the owner is rude and rather nasty to the staff (I have witnessed this my self ) she was basically screaming at one young lad out in the open not even behind closed doors ( not that you should anyway) and the food is diabolical it?s quite clearly all been put in a microwave and turned to complete mush and my god who makes the gravy take the pepper away from them it?s all you can taste it?s disgustingThe rooms are pleasant to stay in but I would avoid eating the food just go to weatherspoons it?s less dissipating stillFood & drinks: Food is just awful do not eat here it?s just microwaved food and it?s disgusting

Great team, great location and lovely food. Would certainly stay again, great location for train and bus station for getting about. Good clean rooms and very comfortable, no air con but it is a very old building and there are fans in the room.

Wonderful meal, good menu. Homemade food. Stayed local to this pub/hotel and food was excellent. Highly recommend. Great to dine here after great days out on holiday. Our guest house recommended and they are right to do so. Tasty.

The White Hart is a charming place with a nice bar/restaurant (a bit old-fashioned in a good way) and very friendly and professional staff. The food is nice. The rooms are quite comfortable but old. The windows are extremely old so you can hear every little noise from outside crystal-clear. This makes this accommodation totally unsuitable for people who can only sleep in peace and quiet (I don't have that problem).

We stayed at the White Hart for a week at the beginning of July, the hotel was a very good base for travelling around Cornwall, has it's own car park over the road, on a first come basis, we stayed in room 13, the room was clean and tidy, the bed was very soft but comfy, the bathroom was a bit dated and could do with an up grade, but was ok for what we needed. We even got used to the sea gull squawking all night, quite soothing to be honest. The breakfast ooooh the breakfast was amazing freshly cooked to order, although the plates were as hot as lava, we ate in the hotel 3 times during our stay, Sunday lunch is amazing too, we also had desert blueberry cheesecake on the Sunday was fab, come with fresh blueberries, and raspberries, and clotted cream ice cream, had the same again on Friday night, wasn't as good, looked like it had been thrown on the plate with a full punnet of blueberries crushed on top, the pie was to die for, if you stay here have the pie, you will not be disappointed. Most of the staff were fantastic, Andrew you was the best, couldn't do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble, the Manager was a lovely lady had a few chats with her during our meals. Would definitely come back to the White Hart.
