Unfortunately we couldn?t use the boats the day we came but it?s a lovely spot to sit with a hot drink and the staff were very friendly. We?d come back for sure!

One of my favourite places to come for tea and scones in the entire country. Hidden gem with SO many teas to try out. All sourced specially and blended perfectly. So peaceful and served with China cups. Knocked off a star as I often turn up to find they have closed early or not opened at all despite their website saying open :( Please update the Facebook to say so I don?t walk all the way to find you closed! Other than that, perfection!

We arrived on Sunday and we got on the boat with no lifejackets given. Then we discovered the boat had a leak in and was rotten. one of the owners were very rude to us he was passive aggressive and was a typical gypsy. He was very rude and did not help up. Also he said that he had cancer and wanted him to pull us back. Extremely rude service. Wouldn't recommend to anyone visiting. Faeryland is destroying the beautiful place of Grasmere.

What a lovely place! Dog friendly, great teas, friendly and knowledgeable servers and amazing views. We stopped in on route while doing the coffin trail, on the way down to Grasmere - I had actually walked past a few times in the past but have never been in, but will definitely be back.

Very nice spot very peaceful, we stopped for a tea and a coffee on a walk around the lake we didn't know of it we stumbled across it. Service was good very friendly polite and professional ...the only reason I have knocked a star off is because of the lack of toilets.

Cafe in a lovely setting, Grasmere lake with rowing boats for hire here. Loose leaf tea (countless varieties) served with vintage teapots and china cups. Perfect timing when the local swan family accompanied by a mixed duck flotila arrived for their late afternoon feed.

Just be warned there are no toilets! But very friendly place and drinks and cakes good. The oldest swan lived there and they all got names!

Worth the walk here from Grassmere just for this view!

Very beautiful place.! Good place to enjoy Tea and some excellent cakes with reasonable rates. Also, you can hire a boat and row it yourself for £25 per hour. Free parking on location while you are in the property enjoying cafe or boating. Also if you want to explore the lake you can opt to park in nearby parking which is a long stay parking. Overnight camping not allowed.

Excellent cake and brilliant scones along with some good coffee and incredible teas. Lovely place to sit and enjoy the swans, ducks and geese plus maybe take a rowing boat out onto the lake.

The tale of our lost boat and the rescue from the owner:My friend & I decided to try out Faeryland Boating service after a glowing recommendation from another friend, and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat.Upon arrival, we were given clear and concise instructions on safety measures and how to operate the boat, which was reassuring as we were relatively inexperienced boaters. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel at ease from the get-go.However, halfway through our boating adventure, the wind suddenly picked up, and we found ourselves struggling to navigate the waters. Panic started to set in as we weren't sure how to handle the situation. Just when we thought our day might be ruined, the owner -Rick- came to our rescue. He skillfully guided us back to safety in the middle of the lake, saving the day and turning our predicament into an unforgettable memory. Rick saw how scared we were, he offered us hugs to calm down and tell us how well we did to get back. (Thanks much Rick!)What amased us the most was the owner's kindness and generosity. Not only did he not charge us extra for being back late, but he even insisted on giving us back our deposit. This act of goodwill left us truly touched. One of the highlights of our visit was discovering the owner's collection of stunning postcards, all taken by him with his phone. They showcased the area's breathtaking views and made for a perfect souvenir to cherish the memories we created. The setting itself is perfect for a romantic escape, away from the hustle and bustle of touristy areas. We enjoyed the tranquility and peacefulness of the place, which allowed us to relax and soak in the beautiful surroundings. Additionally, Faeryland provided various sections of tea, snacks, and drinks, adding to the overall delightful experience.Overall, Faeryland exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a romantic getaway with breathtaking views and a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back soon to create more unforgettable memories , and we'll be sure to share the tale of our lost boat with our friends and family, laughing about it together.

My mate, Peter Van Vossen told me if this place was an open goal he'd give it a miss. How right he was. Awful place to be. I've had tumours removed from me that I'd rather have put back in than go back here

Terrible. Much smaller than it looks in the photos. No space to dive to the left, or the right. Won't be back.
