I dropped off a large and valuable parcel with an incorrectly printed label (a missing barcode). When I went back an hour later with the proper label the parcel had already been collected, but Hayley managed to get hold of the courier and get the label united with the parcel. Outstandingly helpful - far more so than I had any right to expect. Thank you! And thanks to the Parcelforce courier!(Just in case you're thinking that's why there's often a long queue, there wasn't that morning. :-)

Have visited this post office numerous times. The queue ís always ridiculously long, the staff are always rude, last time one of the staff was having a natter with a family member about Sunday dinner while the queue was out the door. I go to Maryport or Wigton post offices now, well out of my way just to avoid the rude, impoite staff and the queue. Deserve less than one star. Note,: I am always polite, regardless of my last experience but if people are,rude they should expect rudness in return. Avoid. Also, why is parking always difficult outside post offices?

There are 4 counters available but only one was in use despite there being 10 people queuing. What sort of service is that? Appalling!

I can appreciate staffing problems but it is infuriating at a busy lunchtime that you are down to 1 server with a big queue. A tip for the future, when a second staff member has important tasks to do and cannot serve, move away from the front desk. Doing the task at the serving desk just sends a big message that you do not care about your public and promotes big frustration in the queue.

The girls are friendly but that?s the only positive?. There was a queue out the door yet again and one person serving and a lady monitoring the queue and saying she could not serve ?.this is my third visit today having spent my whole lunch break in queue and having to leave unserved and when I quietly spoke to lady monitoring queue a customer jumped in and verbally abused me?.i am now stood in the queue for third time and have been here 45 minutes waiting to a bill that can only be paid in the post office?. As a local business we need to use the post office but the service and length of time in a queue gets worse and worse

Worst post office ever used. Think it's acceptable to have people waiting for near an hour just to be served. Zero customer service, zero desire to make their service better. Just gets worse and worse. Everyone I speak too thinks the same. Shouldn't be allowed. Someone who can actually run a post office should take over. What a joke

Absolutely disgraceful service. Slow or what. Long queue with people walking out because only one person serving and she looked new whilst two others looked like they were just trying to look busy... Horrific service! It's the last time I shall use this post office... Evri next perhaps? Let's face it, anybody could do better than this lot here in Cockermouth!

Queuing at half 1 in the afternoon for 50 minutes. 1/2 people serving. Constantly 15/20 people waiting. Understand it is a busy time of year and not fair on the staff but come on. Absolute joke!

The two staff as always were friendly and helpful, however they were totally overwhelmed with the amount of customers. There was a long queue which is a daily routine. I know the post office have been advertising for staff now for over a year. Why did the previous five staff all leave suddenly ?!!!

I would give 5 stars+ for the extremely patient and helpful staff. My dissatisfaction is based on the long queues. More members of staff are definitely required.

This post office is sometimes single staffed: 2 people at the most. It is very busy: lack of banks: people collecting parcels: parcels being delivered that have to be scanned in: foreign currency: new passports: road tax: Royal Mail collecting mailbags of post: There are often long queues. The staff are excellent but take much criticism from the public. This is very unfair. You need to get more staff in post.
