Beautiful, cosy, authentic pub. Such warm and cosy vibes, very friendly and helpful staff and incredible food! Great for gluten free as a coeliac, I felt very comfortable eating!

The room was great. The service was excellent, there was a nice selection at breakfast and it tasted excellent.

From The Queen’s Head Askham
The Queen’s Head is a village pub with a difference. Lovingly renovated, and retaining much of its 17th Century character, its interiors offer everything you want from a cosy country pub – a roaring fire in the Winter, a copper-topped bar, original stone walls and exposed-beam ceilings – and it’s as loved by locals and their dogs as it is by visitors to the area.
Our kitchen here is led by Anthony Amos who was formerly sous chef at our Michelin-starred restaurant with rooms, Allium. He offers generous, creative dishes that err on the side of fine dining, using produce reared, foraged, and grown on our farms, hedgerows, and kitchen gardens – exquisite food, but without formality.
We also have six characterful bedrooms.
