Terrible practice, started calling at 8am 116 attempts later I get through at 8:16am to be told there?s no appointments left and that my elderly grandma can?t have an appointment only a telephone slot left or go to the hospital! My gran has dementia and a telephone call is just not suitable at all for this type of problem her nose looks a right mess, how can they see that over the phone? if they have time to call you why haven?t they time to see you? And after 16 minutes how can all your appointments be taken? Obviously not enough doctors or appointments to run the surgery and take care of their patients effectively

The doctor I?ve met today and over the last couple of appointments I must say is truly fantastic!She is genuinely caring, has time to listen, empathetic whilst also being very thorough and informative?We have had some good discussions about my treatment along with other subjects around prescribing of controlled substance and other issues we share similar views on?A great person with a good mind who challenges me In a respectful and constructive way?.thank you doctor, keep up the good work!Warmest regards,Paul Booth

I transferred here after we moved up and I have observed that the staff here have always been smiling and friendly and willing to help when it counts, I agree though that it isn't always possible to get an appointment on the day but often, they offer a telephone appointment, as it is a good way to discuss your illness and it gives an opportunity to be invited for a face to face appointment. I think maybe, if they hire more doctors, it would help with getting appointments in surgery. Finally, I would say that overall the surgery and it's staff are recommendeable and trust me, I have seen worst surgeries, very worst! Thank you to all staff at Blackwell surgery!

I have been ringing since 8am, as they advise. I can not not get through. I can't even get into a queue. The line drops or it says the line is busy. This is ridiculous

The problem there is that pre-bookable appointments can take a very long time (3 weeks for a telephone call). They always tell you to call at 08?? for a same-day appointment, if you're in luck, and call at the right moment, you might get an appointment, if you're calling at 08??, they won't have any appointments for the same day. Only one doctor was available at one point when I called. This is how NHS push tax payers towards expensive private health care.

Recently moved to the area and signed up to this surgery. I phoned up to make an appointment to which I was told to ring at 8am the following morning. I rang the surgery at 8am the following morning 10 times however no hope of getting through at it said user busy. By the time I got through at 8.15am no appointments left for the day. My only hope of being seen is going to A&E which shouldn?t be the case as it?s not an emergency but what else are you suppose to do when you can?t get into your own GP.

I would recommend these doctors at Blackwell medical centre. The whole team are polite and friendly including the receptionists. The doctors are very helpful and are caring professionals. They explain everything to you including medication that they prescribe you. I wouldnt go anywhere else

They gave my partner the wrong anti biotics the midwife had to request the right ones one of the doctors there was realy rough with my partner for a checkup down below with me and my partners child and was crying because of it one of the doctors before for the first jabs but the lady that did the jabs was alright, I got refused to do an point ment regarding my mental health and blood pressure and threw counciling at me when blood pressure runs in my family and refused medical treatment so if anyones on pip with mental health and severe mental health you are lucky if they can help you with a sick note because you won't get one unless you brake a leg my partner managed to get one before corona because of mental health at ivy Grove ripley so I don't get what is different with these doctors more stress then help we will not be comming here anymore.

I have been with the surgery for about 18 months now, every body made me welcome from day 1 , they are friendly and always happy to help & always have a smile for you when you go in, they don't just treat you like a number but a person, big shout out to natasha Brilliant doctor I owe her big time, sadly one member of staff has left, but on the upside the harriboes will last a bit longer ??

The staff at the pharmacy are fantastic, friendly and professional.Currently I see the doctor Natasha, she?s fantastic. She genuinely listens, she has a fantastic manner.No matter how busy they get the staff are always relaxed and friendly.5 stars from me.
